Re: hector pagan
D'Amico was from Kickerbocker Village, alongside DiChiara's family and his social club. NY Post plant used to be across the street before it got turned into a self storage rental warehouse. I wonder if the Genovese associate who smacked D'Amico, who sounds like he may be connected to Knickerbocker Village himself, did so more out of an old personal, local/neighborhood beef - versus smacking D'Amico simply for being a rat.
Who did D'Amico even rat on? I remember he testified, maybe in Massino's trial? Would love to see that testimony. IIRC there was testimony from D'Amico, Frank Lino, Frank Coppa, Richard Canterella, and potentially more; those would be some transcripts to see, for sure.

Totally agree. Pagan is definitely a scumbag. The entire Graziano family seems classless. Typical Staten Island trash. Even the 'good' daughter got into NYU and started selling pot for no reason at all. The whole Staten Island scene is very trashy. These people are no different than the typical hicks/rednecks that most people from NY like to make fun of. They just eat better.chubby wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 11:23 am Pagan is such a piece of shit.... can you believe that fucking TG went out of his way and spoke for pagan when he killed that guy when he tried to rob him with those other 2 junkies... the guy pagan killed wasn’t a nobody, he was with the castelle brothers Lucchese family.. and TG went to the Bronx and got Pagan a pass for that shit.... and look how Pagan decided to pay him back... by ratting him out..

Re: hector pagan
A lot of animosity has been directed D'Amico's way. The lawyer Tommy Lee said that when Vinny Basciano was acting boss he saw D'Amico's parents at a restaurant and wanted to have them killed because of what their son did. Remember this was when other Bonanno leaders felt the relatives of rats should be killed, so even though Basciano may not have intended to go through with it, it was part of the conversation going on among the leadership at the time.
Re: hector pagan
Yeah I remember tony green was caught on a wire saying something similar. In some ways there's a line you cross when you do that. Then there needs to be something to be put in place as a deterrent. Everytime someone rats no matter how trivial they are in the organization is is demoralizing and hit at OCs credibility and rhats why the feds allow it so much. Like when Pennisi said in a recent interview...if you see a rat in the mall you might say whats up or look the other way bur if your with ur crew you are forced to do something. With that kind of laizze Faire attitude that's not going to change anything anytime soon.B. wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 9:26 pm A lot of animosity has been directed D'Amico's way. I read that D'Amico's mother paid for his button. Can't be too sure since she was the sister of Al Embarrato, so he could've legitimately sponsored him, but maybe he put the shake on his sister. That'd be pretty fucked up, but not out of the realm of possibility.
As an aside that Rene Graziano made one of those TikTok videos about robbing a bank and doing less time than borrowing and paying a mortgage. She must've gained 50 pounds and looks about 30 years older than she did on Mob Wives. As payback they should make Pagan go back and spend the rest of his life with her. He'd be better off putting one through his own head.

That's the rumor. The Mom "knew" Carmine Galante personally, and paid him to make her son. They asked D'Amico himself on the stand about it and he said it was bullshit, but from the little bit of testimony I read of his, he also didn't offer any refute (like "no, I was sponsored by my Uncle"). Wasn't D'Amico related to Cantarella as well? And Tony Mirra? So the Embarattos, Cantarellas, and Mirra are all related (presumably through marriage somewhere in there) somehow and all lived in the same apartment building?Bruno187 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 8:08 pm I read that D'Amico's mother paid for his button. Re: hector pagan
Tony Mirra sponsored D'Amico and Cantarella but Al Walker shot down Cantarella's induction. Massino gave his ok once he got out of prison in the 90's.newera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 6:44 amThat's the rumor. The Mom "knew" Carmine Galante personally, and paid him to make her son. Re: hector pagan
Tony Mirra's mother was Millie Embarrato and Al's Embarrato's sister. Joey Mook's mother was also a Mirra. I'm not sure how the Cantarella's fit in the mix, but they're supposed to be cousins too. Not quite as bad as the Gambino's marrying first cousins, but convoluted nonetheless.

Re: hector pagan
Wasn't D'Amico like 22 when he got made? That would probably fuel the speculation that his mom paid for his button because that certainly was young to be made in that era. I know he was involved in murders after getting made including blowing his cousin's brains out but does anyone know if he did any work prior to getting inducted?
In the Massino trial he was asked if his mother paid Galante for his induction into the family and he quipped "if that's true I would like my money back."

Re: hector pagan
I wouldn't be surprised if he did. He was on record with Mirra. Given Mirra's reputation, it's quite possible.
Al Walker is a relative on Cantarella mother's side of the family.
