Poor Crea. Has to give back all the money he stole.
Thats the game. These guys know that.
He didn't steal money.
Right. Crea made all his wealth during his lifetime of gainful legitimate employement.

There is not a major non mafia construction project in the metro area that doesn’t inflate invoices. This is how blue collar construction / contractors get by. All you need is someone you trust to open an LLC.
Being involved with the mob drastically increases the chances you get caught as inflated invoices is baked into the model so getting popped must really sting. Similar practice occurs with many law firms over billing, doctors over prescribing etc.
Jeez Crea must have had a huge loan shark book. Once your the bank for contractors you made it big time.

That was a mob operation through and through. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
He shouls be convicted by the evidence and the shit he is actually charged with in the RICO indictment. The states attitude is well he got away with a bunch of shit that he didnt get pinched for so we will just have this pseudo trial and the judge will suppress any appeal or argument the defense attorney has before he even opens his mouth. Im not saying he doesnt deserve to do time.
Its kind of like a DUI imo. For every 10 times someone drives drunk they may get caught once. Well the judge in your dui case doesnt say, well, he probably drove drunk before so lets lock him up for 2 yrs eventhough its his first dui arrest.
In that case Crea and associate Joseph Venice were charged with fraud, but the hospital executives who are just as guilty were neither charged nor named in the indictment at all.
Hospital executives are the greediest blood-sucking vultures I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. They live luxurious lifestyles by gouging sick people who are forced to choose between death and financial ruin.
Every single executive from every single hospital, health insurance company, and pharmaceutical company should be lined up and shot, and any of their victims who are fortunate enough to still be breathing should be allowed to piss on their rotting corpses.

The analysis should have been whether Crea was able to charge a higher interest rate, or get some other loan advantage, because he knew Silverstein was going to make extra money on the job.

That wasn’t my point at all lol but I see you haven’t changed
I know this was a mob job , I was referring to non mafia jobs have the same over invoicing issue mafia jobs do. It’s just how big construction jobs are billed and it’s possibly a disadvantage to include a mob guy as your much more likely to get caught and really fuck up a good thing .

He didn't steal money. Read Capeci. The loan was legit. So why should he have to pay the principal if he doesn't have to pay the interest? That doesn't even make sense.
Are you slow? Where do you think he got that million from? Cmon

It’s interesting he used some of the $ from a Trust I think. It probably affords additional legal protections from seizure ?? Crea seems like a pretty smart gangster and will be tough to replace.
All construction projects here in NY/NJ overbill, it's an accepted common construction practice here for years. Doesnt matter if any mob connected contractors/sub contractors/General Contractors/Electrical Contractors etc are involved or not its going to happen 99.9% of the time in some way, shape, or form.
Backing up Cheech here as well, these guys all know whats at stake going into that life. Its literally a game of "Catch Me if You Can" between the wiseguys and the government. The government does their jobs spending taxpayers money to run expensive investigations and subsequently pad their pockets with OT/Pensions and then the wiseguys do their jobs spending their illicit money to pad their pockets with more illicit/legit money. That's the game......
