Is/was Nick Corozzo’s Gambino crew active in Canarsie?

All their names are Peter or Paul. Plus they're all married to girls named Marie, and they named all their daughters Marie. By the time I was done reading that I thought I was drunk.
Glick told author Nicholas Pileggi that he expected to meet a banker-type individual, but instead, he found Alvin Baron to be a gruff, tough-talking cigar-chomping Teamster who greeted him with, “What the fuck do you want?”

I don't remember the details but D'Arco goes into that crew's history in his book. I think someone else mentioned the original captain of that crew who gave it to Paul Vario.

Supposedly Turiddo Curiale was the first Capo of Brooklyn. And Vario grew the crew from there when he took over.

As far as the Varios go: Paulie and Sal (Babe) were def “there”! I do believe Lenny was also. And his sons Petey and Paulie Jr.
-
Vito and the other brother I don’t think were straightened out. But who really knows for sure? They may have been. Paulie was pretty generous in that department with his men..... so imagine his blood relatives?

Yes the Corozzo crew and the Vario crew covered basically the same area emerging from Brownsville & East New York to cover Canarsie, Flatlands, Bergen Beach & Mill Basin.

If I remember correctly the story for Dellacagna's made brother was posted by one well-known bullshitter.
After checking the name given, the supposed brother didn't even exist.

No worries, man. maxi actually did a write-up on Furnari, although there's not a lot of info out there on the guy, especially his early years.
