That's more likely, or some pretty gambling debt or maybe a confrontation with a random hothead (some habits never die). I doubt anyone from the Gambinos would go near him, much less risk going to the can over stabbing him. And for what? The guy is out of the life and old beefs are ancient history nowadays.

James Toback brought in producer Marc Fiore who was actually Marco Fiore, who’d done a lot of time at Allenwood Prison for fraud and had been the main defendant in the prosecution of a Boiler Room scheme. A book was even written about it in 2003 the book was called "Born to Steal" , which no one who’d signed on to “Gotti” had read.They threw all these big names out Al Pacino , John Travolta, Lindsay Lohan , Joe Pesci sued the production. Fiore is a associate of Frank Coppa Jr.’s father, Frank Coppa Sr.of the Bonnano crime family

Because Alite is broke and sick of working construction as a laborer. And he probably can't even hold that job since he spent most of his life in crime not working. Same story with all these guys...they don't want to work and want to sell any story they can for a buck. Same shit different shovel...
Louis story is different. He caught the show business bug as an extra on the set if good fellas I think. Since then he has always been trying to make a buck off his mob uncle and cousin who were murdered and his police back ground etc.

I don'tnthink JR makes all his money from his rentals. And I would imagine he probably tried taking what he thought was his but belonged to the gambino family or the Gambinos are trying to take back what they believe is theirs. Jr is making money somewhere to be able to stay in that estate. Forget the large mortgage the taxes alone are probably $39k a yr on that place and then the 5 kids school tuition etc. That stabbing is over $$$ I have no doubt.

Alite can say what he wants because he has a cooperation agreement protecting him. Junior does not so he better be careful what he divulges in that book. Look how they went after Joe Bonanno for what he said in his even though it was all ancient history with everyone he talked about being dead. Juniors story is much more recent and the players invoved are still alive and involved.

Who knows? But the Gotti men are notorious for being afraid of their wives .

Anyway, all kidding aside, that's one of the "stories" out there. But I'm a Bronx guy, and the Gottis are basically Queens people living on Long Island, where the incident happened. And one thing I try not to do is speculate about things outside of my comfort zone.

But for what it's worth, it did come from someone associated with that family (and I don't mean the Gottis ).

I think this comes out as an e book tomorrow. And the movie is scrapped. Supposedly Junior scrapped it due to his mom not wanting it. Afraid if they made a movie the Feds would arrest him again. But because Alite is coming out he decided to as well.

I think that is bullshit both JR and his mom need that money. I think the movie is not getting made because the studios in Hollywood don't want to make it. The movie has already been made with Assante. How many Gotti movies can you make? The guy was only on the street as boss for 4.6yrs. A movie about someone with a great legacy like Carlo Gambino or Joseph Bonanno would be much better...but again that's been done already its called the Godfather. Gotti's era has already been made as well and pretty accurate depiction of that time period..that one is called Goodfella's. Let's face it a movie about Gotti only belongs one place and that's a made for TV movie.
