Re: Feds raiding Philly?
Dave schrat is a Philly reporter.why are we doubting what he said? Any reason?
Re: Feds raiding Philly?
Dave and George are probably saving the intel they got, if true for a podcast or something or other...

If you look on schrats IG there is still a post and I quote;

"Breaking Tonight: Sources tell MobTalk Sitdown federal agents raided multiple locations in South Philly today executing search warrants in an ongoing investigation. The FBI confirmed “court ordered law enforcement activity” was carried out at locations, including a doctor’s office on Oregon Avenue and another location nearby. FBI agents were observed entering & leaving the locations. There was no further comment on the reasons for or subjects of the investigation.#FBI"

Re: Feds raiding Philly?
Yeah the part that piques my interest is how this is reported as sources talking to "MobTalk Sitdown" specifically. Would sources giving info to MobTalk Sitdown tell MobTalk Sitdown stuff that was unrelated to the mob? Sources telling MobTalk Sitdown info about South Philly raids. What else could it be?Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 5:13 pm If you look on schrats IG there is still a post and I quote;

I mean it's possible, just seems odd that he would present it in that manner if it is unrelated to the Philly family. We'll see I guess.

Re: Feds raiding Philly?
There's no direct reference, it's just that the info was given to MobTalk Sitdown specifically (as opposed to general news) and has to do with "South Philly." Those two elements combined suggest that this might be Philly Cosa Nostra related.

Re: Feds raiding Philly?
No one is disputing the raids took place. Scott is reporting it's LCN related, which it very well could be, and Jmack said Schratwieser also originally reported it as LCN related before editing his IG post to take out the LCN part.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 5:13 pmIf you look on schrats IG there is still a post and I quote;

I'm saying Schratwieser never reported it as LCN related. Jmack is mistaken about Schratwieser originally saying it was LCN related.

Hope it is. There's seriously such a dearth of mob activity last several months +, makes one question whats actually out there.Ivan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 7:32 pmThere's no direct reference, it's just that the info was given to MobTalk Sitdown specifically (as opposed to general news) and has to do with "South Philly." Capeci is down to:
400th post on Bazoo
400th post on Manzo
A Lawyer who dies
Curtis Silwa talking about the stickball prowess of the Gemeni twins.
How he accepts money from subs is Burnstein-esque.
I digress.

Re: Feds raiding Philly?
I mean its almost been a week, and no chatter on the street, about anything happening with these raids, not even a mention. One reported LCN and other doesn't technically, but I can see how people get that assumption. I highly doubt they are saving information for a podcast. Scott put out like 3 videos himself in a matter of a week when the Johnny Chang stuff went down. These guys can't wait to be the first to report something. I'm not saying its not true, but I believe it most likely turned out to not be LCN related. I just find it bizarre that a word hasn't been mentioned anywhere but these two post. Not even a mention by either one of them again.
Also it should be noted that Mob scene/Mobtalk sitdown has covered Kaboni Savage and other non LCN drug dealers in the city, but very rarely obviously.

DS did reply to someone soon after this that he didn’t think it was LCN related.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

What are you breaking my balls for? Lol I was just providing context in thread. Based on what he reported I at the very least am leading to believe it is possible linked to the mob. And since he referenced mobtalksitdown he will come out with a podcast/video of the arrest if he gets the details to turn it into a story.Ivan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 7:32 pmThere's no direct reference, it's just that the info was given to MobTalk Sitdown specifically (as opposed to general news) and has to do with "South Philly." I'm not breaking your balls, I'm saying I agree with you that it seems like it may very well turn out to be mob related.
