The Mob let let out the story that they don't do hits anymore because it gives them too much bad press and heat from law enforcement. That was just a ploy as they are still killing but being more careful by using horse farms in upstate NY to bury bodies these days.

Does the ban on murders apply to members killing associates? Also, this could be the case of an associate connected to this Gambino crew killing someone, so the murder ban may not apply. Or maybe a Sicilian made member operating in NY did a murder. Or, it could even be a cold case. So many possibilities.

I doubt someone could flip, have their proffer sessions, and the feds then getting a warrant to search the property this quickly. It could also be info the feds picked up on a wire as opposed to an informant.

My guess is the feds had info on this place for a while, but decided to wait to search the property until the indictments were handed down and the arrests made. If the search took place before, then these guys would be tipped off about the indictment.

This has to be a murder case from a long time ago. Too many informants nowadays. Someone flipped and offered a burial site from a long time ago. It's like proving that their cooperation is legit.

I don't think anyone ratted, they are probably searching for contraband, not bodies. But we will see what comes up.
