Barney have the record of longest reigning boss on the street of one of the Five Families.
Until 2008 he was never arrested.

Barney was released in 2008 but became boss during either 2014 or 2016 from what I remember.

Amuso's only a couple of years off Persico's tenure. Persico was official boss from 1980 to his death in 2019, about 38 1/2 years. Amuso has been official boss of the Lucchese family since October 1986, giving him a current tenture of almost 37 years.

Scarpa first reported to the FBI that Persico had became the official boss in early November 1980 and Persico died March 2019. So 38 years and about four months. Scarpa was still describing Persico as the underboss in September 1980, so at maximum it would have been 38 years and a half years.

If he's still alive, Amuso will have overtaken Persico's tenure by February to April 2025. He'd be 90 years old by that point.

Can we pinpoint timeframe who appointed Zummo as AC?
2015 was the ceremony when Zummo was AC. Was Joe C AB then?
IE was it Cammarano who appointed Zummo (or who approved) or Nose?

It could have serious ramifications.

There are several possibilities John Carlucci, John Mirabile, John DeSena, John Contello, John Spirito Jr, John Zancocchio, John Sciremammano, John Palazzolo, John Licata & John Cicala.

If Zummo an Acting Captain conducted the ceremony if you can call it that it probably means this ‘John’ was just a soldier. I think the really old guys like Palazzolo and Licata can be eliminated but if any of the other guys can be linked to the Pipitone crew at that time we may have found our guy.

Magaddino had the longest reign. Around 50 years, possibly a little longer. However he was functionally deposed in 1969 but remained official boss until his death in 1974.

Very interesting about Zummo. He is able to break open what was happening on the American side with the Hamilton situation. Hopefully that becomes public.

Cali was the official underboss.

On Cefalu, Capeci claims he was the acting boss and that Pete Gotti kept the boss title in name only. Since Gotti died in 2021, he reported Cefalu as the official boss. Though I have a document and a transcript from his cousins case that states Cefalu was the official boss.
