New article, dedicated to organized crime in the city of Grenoble. The article is mainly focused on the Corsican mob boss Mathieu Mattei, the Italo-Grenoblois gang and the establishment of Cosa Nostra in the French capital of the Alps https://unehistoiredecrimeorganise.blog ... italo.html

A new article should arrive in the next few days or weeks, but in the meantime, I have just added a historical membership of the American Commission, on the same model as what I did some time ago with the Sicilian Commission.

No English version here as it is mainly names with photos but you can use the translator available on the page for the few lines of text.

For some reason, the display with telephone makes large gaps between certain lines, so I recommend to watch it with a computer

Thanks to eboli, B & gonhjotti for their help

Thanks Eline, according to Bill Bonanno, LaRocca had a seat at the Commission at least in 1956. However it looks Ida had a seat before Bruno, so I guess Bonanno is mistaken about this point. I saw a list on MaryFerrell with Ida and the others for this version of the Commission, but I can't find it right now

According to what Joe Bonanno said about when Philly got their seat Bruno would have been the Boss at the time. Though Bill was incorrect about LaRocca retiring to Sicily since we know he remained as the Pittsburgh Boss until his death in 1984. If he lost his seat it must have been for some other reason.

Amazing, thanks. Interesting to see Joseph Zerilli, John LaRocca and Raymond Patriarca on the Commission, thought it was more restricted to NY, Chicago and Buffalo.

I don't know much about Phily, but is it possible that Bill mixed-up with Ida who went to Italy during this period? I know Ida was Calabrian, but maybe he confused.

Thanks, yes other Families had a seat at the Commission, membership began to decline in the mid-70s

1959 wiretap of Accardo and Giancana discussing the Commission (Giancana having succeeded Accardo in ‘56).

At least per this conversation:
  • Giancana and Bonanno put Zerilli on the Commission.
  • Joe Ida had a seat on the Commission during Accardo’s tenure (mid ‘40s - ‘56).
  • A NE boss prior to Patriarca also had a seat on the Commission (unclear exactly if this was during or prior to Accardo’s tenure).
  • Accardo asserts that there was a period when Bonnano did not have a seat on the Commission (?).
