Felice said some of Cali’s relatives are on here, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there are more people who are close to the life reading this site.

It also wouldn’t surprise me if law enforcement reads these sites too, just to see what rumors are goin around.

Also, not to make y’all paranoid or anything... but it wouldn’t surprise me if some people in the life use boards like this for intentional misinformation campaigns. Not going to name drop anyone, especially since I respected the poster a lot... but there was a poster back in the day on another board who swore that Crea Jr wasnt involved and was legit, and also claimed that Barney was like 95% retired. But both of those claims seem to have turned out to be false (so far at least). But, it’s very possible this poster was close to these families personally, so he may have wanted to help keep the heat off them.. which is understandable.

It's possible, maybe just out of curiosity to see what was being said about them. There's been lots of stories about wiseguys reading Gang Land News. I wouldn't be surprised if certain associates come on the forums to look for their names being mentioned.

It’s pretty likely that some guys on the forum r mobbed up in some sense. I doubt a guy like Joe Cammerano uses the site, but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Felice was a bookie. Lol no offense.

i get what you're saying, about that poster, but the end game doesnt make much sense. itd be one thing to post that on the comments section of news articles about the guys in question or on Facebook, etc... but him sharing that with the boards here where there is only like what...30 or 40 active guys? if it were a misinformation campaign it wouldnt be too effective. there are much more crowded places to shout louder IMO. i think that poster genuinely thinks those guys have stepped back, and his interactions with them were probably them as surburban family men and not gangsters

There was an old guy in a red shirt eyeballing me as I walked by, so I waited a bit and walked past with my phone to my ear. I was walking too fast to get a good shot, but I'll return to the scene of the crime for round two.

I'm with my girlfriend who doesn't give a fuck as long as we do certain touristy things.

Why dont you walk in there and ask them how to join ? your from new Zealand and want to hang with some real new Yorkers , hell they might even buy you a beer. worst case they tell you to kick rocks

Not a bad idea, although it would be pretty suspicious for a tourist to walk into a nondescript "members only" place like Petey Red's social club.

In 1993 my girlfriend walked into the Ravenite and asked if they were open. Someone yelled "it's PRIVATE" and she played dumb. Actually she was dumb but that's another story.

This thread had me thinking about different spots around NYC so I got to looking around on Google Maps and I think I stumbled on a club in the Bronx Little Italy area that I've never seen mentioned.
