Him being at these meetings says a lot, imo...going out on the ol' limb and will say he's been a big part of this reshaping effort. Rocco pointed out Chili being up from Florida..this was a big turn of events for the Bonannos.

Nothing is changing, guys just aren't smart. But it isn't even that, if I'm not mistaken, the Bocelli pictures were during a Christmas Party. I could be wrong, but I've read that. If it is, then the fact is the government can't lock guys up for attending a holiday gathering, if none of these guys have parole restrictions which prohibit them meeting with other convicts and known criminals, then they're free to meet with who they want, regardless of whose following and taking pictures. Not the barber shop meet, again, if there are no parole restrictions, they are free to meet where and with whom ever. Now the interesting part is, not only does this give us a real look at who's really running things and whom exactly is involved a captain level all the way to the boss, but it raises the question of how law enforcement knew where these guys would be meeting at and when, in order for these photos to be taken. There's also the possibility guys were tailed but again, they'd need a suitable reason to want to tail these guys to see their destinations, in the first place. So it's interesting to think about and speculate if there's a rat in the Bonannos again, who's clearly doing enough damage to warrant the possible ongoing investigation against the top Bonanno guys. Or if phones are tapped, and again if phones are tapped, the original source which warranted the information for these kinds of actions from law enforcement, had to come from within the Bonanno's.

That's true. That's what I was referring to by guys not being smart. They aren't smart their business. In ways they definitely are, but they also can't seem to learn that how they make money and the outlets they use are illegal, and simply being know as a member of the Organization, and meeting in public like this, opens the door for surveillance and other things that leads to indictments and convictions.

We get a comprehensive chart coupled with purty piktures of the Bonannos admin and capo structure every two years now.

It's been 10 years since we could name ONE member with certainty of the WESTSIDE Admin.

The difference is beyond belief.

Seems pretty straightforward they are very different due to their leadership. Especially over the past 30 something years. Many of the guys in leadership roles came up under the chin. How he set up his family was night and day different from the bonannos and that continues today

Whatever you want to say about the Bonnanos but after having so many people including the boss flip and numerous people after getting long stretches they look to be open and ready for business. They seem to have some young fresh blood and have some people at the top calling the shots. This is after every single bust showed that they were on their last legs. Post 2005 was the same as post '81 with them, people filled in, people were still murdered as we saw in '08, '09, not something a family on its last legs will do. Being as insular as theyve always been im sure well start hearing about some guys born post 1980 soon.
