I’m not sure if you understand the logic of your thesis.CatStevens9 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 6:25 pmHe would have at the very least been paying tribute to the luchesses or bonnanos if he was still having some action on the street such as gambling. If another LCN family or gang such as the Albanians attempted to shake him down it would have triggered a sit down or someone getting clipped but its 2018 I don't know how much muscle they still have.
If he ‘had to have been’ paying tribute to an LCN family then the conclusion is they are unable to protect or defend a member.
This is basically at odds of our current understanding of the power of the families vs the power of the Albanians. That they could repeatedly threaten and then kill an associate of a family against its wishes goes against current wisdom.

I love it how they still can’t work out which family he’s meant to be affiliated with. The daily a few hours ago had him as a Bonanno assoc. Now he’s a Luke.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 6:33 pm ny-1539112420-1yfoufigwh-snap-image.jpeg

Oh, the same post where he comes out and says nothing to do with LCN? That one? That the one your talking about? The one where it turns out he’s looking 100% correct? That it’s nothing to do with LCN. That post? That the one? The ‘not LCN’ post? That looks to be exactly the case? Want to be sure here. That the post? The ‘nothing to do with LCN’ post? A few articles have identified him as being tied to both families, which is possible.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 6:46 pmI love it how they still can’t work out which family he’s meant to be affiliated with. Or its possible the mafia angle has been grossly overblown.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:32 pmA few articles have identified him as being tied to both families, which is possible.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 6:46 pmI love it how they still can’t work out which family he’s meant to be affiliated with. 100% correct about 50% of his theory is a strange way to put it.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:06 pmOh, the same post where he comes out and says nothing to do with LCN? That one? Re: Arrest in Zotolla Hit at the McDonald's Drive-thru
I dont buy the Albanians hiring a member of the Bloods to do a hit to move on a guy that (SEEMS) to be left as food , Zotolla didnt run to anyone ? He and his money machine was left out alone ? , There is a double cross in there and has a Italian somewhere pulling the strings,IMO

That and he has no more information to share on it than you, me, or the regular newspapers. I don't know what him just mentioning stuff already known is going to do for anyone. Scoops is his thing.
Re: A reputed mobster shot dead in McDonalds drove thru
Agreed, also Vknicks is right in that it doesn't even appear LCN related.
I'd rather Capeci gives us an inside scoop on something not-so-interesting than rehash a Daily News article on something like the Zottola hit. All this means is that Capeci's sources don't have anything to say on the matter for whatever reason. Disappointing, but that's the way it is.

Incredible.
Now the Albanians, the supposed real tough-guys, are outsourcing their hits to black guys.

Re: Arrest in Zotolla Hit at the McDonald's Drive-thru
According to the NY Times, the Albanian angle comes from the fact that the case was investigated by the FBI's Balkan and Middle Eastern organized crime squad.
Additionally,
"But the elder Mr. Zottola’s ties to organized crime extended beyond the Bonanno family. He had a long history with the Lucheses, according to an investigator who handles Mafia inquiries but was not involved in the murder case, and an F.B.I. report that summarizes the agency’s debriefing of a high-ranking Bonanno crime family figure.
The investigator said Mr. Zottola also had ties to the Genovese crime family: He had grown up with Pasquale Falcetti, a soldier from the Genovese family’s East Harlem crew who was known as “The Clubber.”
