Vinny has been made for quite some time now( mid 90's) his younger brother Nicky stepped up to run Vinny's stuff while he was away. Nicky is in his late 30's now, the Dragonetti's are a big close knit family that all work or own legit business but some are also into some not so legit business. The brothers were making money all over canarise way before Vinny hooked up with Bernadette Corozzo, but marrying the big guys daughter did wonders for all of them.
I dunno why but i thought Vinny was late 30's. Is he in Corrozzo's crew?
Vinny is in his mid 40's, Nicky is in his late 30's. Nicky Corozzo doesn't have a crew anymore Jimmy Dellaratta is the captain of his old crew it's possible Vinny is with him but it's also possible Vinny is with Lenny DiMaria who is captain of a separate crew. Which crew Nicky Dragonetti is part of I don't know but if I had to guess I'd say Dellaratta. The Dragonetti's are millionaires.

Just checked BOP, Vinny is 50. Jimmy D is only acting for Nicky. No way that crew gets taken off him, he's too powerful. I read the dragonetti's have a tree removal company or something like that if my memory serves me correctly. Is that where they're millions came from?

Ahhh 50, even older then I thought that might make Nicky a little older also. They own Dragonetti bros florist it was on utica ave for years and years now its over on ralph. That florist/lawn care service spawned everything else they have from the tree removal service to waste disposal to all sorts of construction companies. They have their fingers in a lot of pies.
If Nicky makes it out alive sure he'll have his crew back but it's a slim chance that happens. Vinny, Lenny and a couple other guys take care of his family not Jimmy.

Great info Johnny, I know next to nothing about the Dragonetti's, from what I heard it was Little Nicky that made Jimmy D acting skipper over Blaise so I don't believe for one minute he's not kicking up to Nicky in the form of Blaise, Nicky will lose his capo status when they bury him.

Nicky & JoJo are still powerhouses in that family, even though both are in jail and under the Sicilians.

im not 100 percent sure but I don't believe that New England has made anyone for quite some time, and Detroit just actually eliminated a crew, just to consolidate and make themselves a tighter smaller family. I believe the decavs have made a couple guys in the last couple years. Outside the New York families philly is about the only family that continues to "grow" at a small rate. They are probably the most viable outside of New York right now.

Supposedly, Darin Bufalino and Mike Prochillo, Jr. were made sometime around 2009 if I remember correctly, could be mistaken though. Guys such as Louis Dinunzio have been rumored to be made, however, Louis specifically was indicted recently for drugs and he was not identified as a made member so who knows. One of the other members on the board might know better who might have been made recently. Some people say the Patriarcas are doing better, but I think for the most part they are like other families in that their best days are behind them, their members are aging, and the newer recruits are swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool. I think it would be fair to compare the activity and size of the Patriarcas to the Philadelphia Family. You will find people on the boards more Gangster BB than here, that believe the Patriarcas are strong as ever and have 100 members including 40 or so members in Providence who are sleepers that no one else knows about. I would not be one of those people to believe all that but then again maybe the FBI, State Police, and all other law enforcement got it wrong and a few posters on Gangster BB got it right.

Philly seems like the least viable out of the families named do they have 20 made guys even on the streets? maybe the decavs are worse but the patriarcas still have more manpower and more juice than philly and Detroit probavly has more active made guys as well than philly I don't know how philly is growing when they are the smallest they've ever been I don't think there is a family in the us that is growing most can barely stay at the level they're at let alone grow

What makes you say philly is the least viable? From most reports I've read the Patricas are pretty dead... Philly are still making guys having trials and mob hits. They've been pretty active as of late. Detroit is cutting down crews. When was the last time the Patricas made anyone ?

Philly has about 25 active members and almost 60 members total. Last assocaite estimate was 100. As we have seen over the past 15 years they are still a very active family.

Couldn't say th last time they made anyone but look at all the indictments of high ranking members the last few bosses and underbosses were convicted in NE the only thing out of philly was that bullshit case they tried to bring against ligambi and those guys and that was a failure. I feel like if there was a great deal of activity going on they would be making cases against the top street guys like mazzone and Chang. I'm not saying there's a big difference here I was just surprised you thought they were most viable the thing is philly has more than half their members in prison so if they have 25 on the street and Detroit has 30 guys on the street you would have to say they are as viable in my opinion. I just feel philly, NE, and Detroit are all pretty similar

I very much doubt Detroit has 30 members total let alone 30 active members.

You may be right last estimate I saw was 25-30 but the point is do you honestly believe philly is that much stronger than NE or Detroit or any other family besides NY? I think the differences are neglible between the 2nd tier families. 1st tier is NY. 2nd is chicago, NE, philly, Detroit in no particular order. then you get into the decavs and then the rest of the families barely hanging on. That's the way I see it at least maybe Detroit beginf the other 2nd tiers but I don't think its a blow out
