We know Demeo was very close to Castellano. Demeo was close to Gaggi who took over Castellanos crew. Castellano, being a relative of Gambino and having Gaggi as his successor and also utilized Demeo as his enforcer. I think it’s a worthwhile question.

I remember i read somewhere that Paul Castellano was hesitant to have Roy DeMeo inducted into the family. Makes me wonder if roy would’ve been inducted had carlo still been alive.

Carlo Gambino was never caught on Tape in his whole life. I don't think he did any newspaper or television interviews.
Also, any competive questions are also ridiculous like "Which mobster was the most powerful" or "Which Family made the most money" or "Which mobster was the most feared" are all on the level of a junior high school kid. This is what seperates this Forum from GBB. You can look at that Forum without belonging to it and I think you'll see what I mean.

The basis of the question relates to, what, if any relationship did Gambino have with Demeo?

Considering there is a direct link of Gambino to Castellano to Demeo this hardly ranks as a Gbb hairpiece whatever.

Judge each case on its merits gentleman. I know things are slow but this is an overreaction misdirected.

You´re absolutely right. It´s a question nobody can answer but maybe Gambino´s wife. And that´s what makes it ridicolous. Not saying Slim is ridicolous but that the question is. Somebody would have to be 100 times the level of JD as a researcher and then maybe by chance come across something half redacted piece in a file where something like this is mentioned. I'm with @Sonny on this one.
I think Slim was just wondering if there was anything in any files whatsoever linking Carlo to Roy or describing what Carlo's opinion on Roy was. Maybe Slim should have phrased it better. That's all. A simple "No, there's nothing linking Gambino or DeMeo together" would have probably answered his question. This is the "General Mob Questions" thread. In my opinon, it's fine to ask small, trivial questions like that. If Slim made a whole thread around it then fine, that's cause for concern, but asking a harmless question like that doesn't hurt anybody, in my humble opinion.

Slim's question is not comparable to questions such as "Whose the coolest mobster ever" or "Which family has the most guns" because Slim's question has an easy answer: "No, I've never seen anything linking Roy DeMeo to Carlo Gambino." This is the General Mob Questions thread after all.
