It was the first and only Prime Steaks in the area. It also had a separate room with Crap tables and Slots for the ladies. After they closed a developer from Youngstown convinced Cherry to open a new restaurant in the new mall he was building in Nile Ohio. Ever been there

OK - I think we need to let the rest of the Forum know what we are talking about with Cherry's Top O the Mall Steakhouse, Night Club and Mob action Joint.

Tony DelSanter - Consigliere for the Cleveland LCN - hung out there most of the time and operated from there. My Wife, who was Tony's Girlfriend before I met her, would meet Tony there after she finished work. My Wife said that she would pull up and Cherry would run out to the car parking lot and escort her in to the top Floor where the restaurant was located. She would set in a special Booth where Tony and two other Guys would sit with them. The Booth next to them the rest of the entourage would sit at that booth. It would be late and she either had Dinner and Drinks or just drinks.

Tony DelSanter liked to dance - The Band was instructed to play for as long as Tony was on the Dance Floor - even after hours - the Band had to Play - period.

In the morning Tony would get up and get a Steam Shower or Steam Bath virtually everyday, then he would either Golf or go Swimming. Some of his routine would be go to Nick Anthe's on Tallmadge Ave. in Akron, then the Akron Sicilian Club. (Note: Nick Anthe's later moved to N. Main St. on North Hill in Akron, Ohio.)

What most people don't know or remember is that Tony DelSanter arranged for the Hit to be put on Danny Greene. He had meetings with Jimmy "The Weasel" Fratianno (Died June 1993) and Ray Ferritto (Ray died in May 2004 in Sarasota, Florida a free Man). The Actual Official Sanctioned Hit Order was given by Jack White, but it was all setup by Tony DelSanter. I believe this has been verified by FBI and Researchers.

It was an Italian place right off the Niles exit owned by a crazy Greek named Paul Anastos. He was a phenomenal chef and every Wednesday they had Greek night. My dad's band played there every Wednesday. I'd get home with him at 7am, shower and go to class at YSU by 8am. Good times

Canton, OH in the 1940's-1960's was under the control of Cleveland. Patsy was never made in Cleveland but was closely associated with Jack White and Jimmy La Fatch in Akron then later Battista and Moceri. Pat's expertise was video poker and he was known as a "video poker barron" and his company, Liberty Vending was the country's largest distributor of the machines. Pittsburgh did not come into the picture until the early 1970's and the wiseguys in Youngstown weren't with either family, Youngstown operated independently. Guys like Sandy Naples and Joe DiCarlo were affiliated with Buffalo, Vince DeNiro was affiliated with Cleveland as was Charlie Cavallaro. Pete Cammarata was affiliated with Detroit and Jimmy Prato was affilliated with Pittsburgh. It wasn't until the early-mid 1980's that Pittsburgh moved into Cleveland territory. Youngstown had wiseguys representing several families at that time. Patsy hooked up withJohn "Duffy" Conley, considered Western Pennsylvania's Video Poker Barron and Pat distributed machines to the DeCalvacante Crime Family, the Genovese Crime Family, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo, Scranton and had an enormous operation in Kentucky and West Virginia. In fact, his "Rolls Royce" money was paid for by his Kentucky Operations which were staggering.

Posts like these I believe. Go into detail that's why I can say JCB has a familial connection in my opinion. If he is fooling us he is a world class con man. I believe what he saying to be true and he is the real deal. If he says my uncle was in the Youngstown mob, was in jail with Ronnie the crab and Ronnie was punked by some blacks, Take my word for it, I would be highly skeptical.

He also operated out of the log cabin , I believe the cherry is where they had the initial sitdown to hire ferrito to whack Greene , people where trying to whack Greene for awhile beofe they hired ferrito . Delsanter would of most likely died in jail had he lived ,

I am going out on a limb here only because it involves these Guys in their youth and all I have about it - is brief stories. I wish I could remember all the Stories that were told to me over the years from all different people.

The North Hill of Akron Sicilians were operating in the 1920's and 1930's Bootlegging like crazy and they were getting a lot of help from Cleveland as I understand it. Whiskey Dick Percoco Born 1897, the LaFatch Gang headed by Tony LaFatch Born 1907. were making loans on the Streets to Gamblers and selling bootleg Whiskey and backing Gambling etc. Whiskey Dick started making more loans to get these guys out of Jail to make Bond and there is where he started making money in the Bail/Bond business. Actually Whiskey Dick was from Bari - came over when he was 14 or so he said. Whiskey Dick did Numbers also. In Akron, they never gave up the Numbers Game, whoever ran it over the years.

My thing about this is that because of the Bootlegging and the Sugars and everything involved - evolved and were being organized and when do you officially recognize the LCN in Cleveland and Akron?

I would venture to say when the family was organized is when they had clear cut administration, capos, soldiers and associates. It had to have been after 1931.

But they were allegedly making guys in the 20’s ? So had to be some structure

So JCB1977 found several of the very Early Article about Tony Lafatch and Whiskey Dick Percoco and Tony and Jimmy Lafatch IN-Law Rocco Polichene. So this gives further substantiation of the Story that I posted in Cleveland Time back in May 2nd, 2018. Since they are in PDF format I will covert them into JPEG and Post them here.
