Does anyone know what Cutler said about the Castellano hit? He was saying something about all the hitmen being dressed the same then shouted and it was bleeped out. I couldn't figure out what he said or why he got so worked up.

I think he was implying that the hit didn't go down as it's commonly told, that Gotti had nothing to do with it. In Cutler's eyes Gotti can do no wrong.

I'm halfway through and so far I think it's excellent. I was glad to see TJ English being featured, his book on the Westies is my favorite book on organized crime. Always great to see Bruce Cutler being interviewed ("Giullani, if that's even his real name", love that line)

I agree the show mostly paints Junior as a favorable character, hard to argue he is not at least a dry snitch. Interesting that Victoria is not in it... I figured she would be all over this. Overall worth watching, even for the more educated mob buffs.

I found TJ English's input to be less than impressive. A lot of rehash of old mob folklore some of which we know now not to be true. And I get annoyed when an expert says that the Gambinos had 2500 members. An "expert" who doesn't differentiate between member and associate is suspect.

Also, anyone not by the story told that after McBratney got shot that Gotti looks over to bartender put his finger to his lips and goes "Shhh". That sounds like bullshit.

Also interesting to hear Bruce Moew admit that they had informants in the Ravenite when Gotti was there. I don't recall that coming out before. Considering that only made members (or those who would become members) where there at the time it would mean that there were more Gambinos informing than we knew about.

The charts do look doctored. I wish we could get a hold of the complete news
film footage they showed of Carlo's funeral. Seeing Gotti, Sr.'s den was pretty cool.

That is an older version of one of Muk's charts. They upgraded the graphics and used it with his permission. He probably just gave them the most current version at the time the program was produced.
