Re: Article mentioning Tony Parkside
I hate some of the Feds, especially assholes like Comey or Mueller. However, that being said, the Feds know more about the American Mafia than a lot of made guys do themselves. They pretty much know everything and only need to fill in a few blanks here and there while they gather enough information for an indictment and then hopefully a conviction.

I thought the same thing when I was actually writing my initial post before Yates cited Merlino. I was writing how TT being cited as a Capo by the Feds should be cause of interest and I actually typed out a line citing the Merlino mistake but thought, fuck that, Im not going to have to have a Merlino disclaimer every time I cite the fucking Feds! And yet boom, sure enough..

I don’t think it was just in their notes. Didnt the FBI agent testify under oath in a courtroom about Merlino being a genovese captain at joeys trial.gohnjotti wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 2:06 pmAs well as this, it’s not like the feds were confident in this analysis. They never charged him as a Genovese capo or even publically declared he was a Genovese capo. It was in their notes for awhile, I assume they realised their mistake, and changed it.Wiseguy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:37 pm For years people who want so much to pretend like almost everything they know about the mob isn't dependant on the feds would go to the "feds thinking Fat Tony is boss" example as a reason to disagree with them whenever they feel like it. Nevermind it was the exception that proved the rule.
Is an FBI agent labeling Merlino a Genovese captain going to be the new Fat Tony card?
Don’t think it changes anything though. Sure there are some FBI agent quotes we can pick and choose to show that they are wrong sometimes but they are right a whole lot more than they are wrong.

the d'urso / cafaro junior transcripts is one of my favorite 'wires' ever made public. ive seen that pop up on the various boards a few time over the years. Im sure there are hours and hours of tapes from d'urso's work - id love it if more were to become available to us.
official title or not, i dont see how that guy is active. that restarurant is open almost 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and hes probably there for a good 75% of it. not saying its impossible though. that'd be crazy if one day in the future we saw a genovese indictment that had him, recently active, in it. the media did everything they could to try to tie him to that italian mom and sons who ran the pizza place & coke ring.
I dont know if the club is still open today in 2018, but if you google street view Parkside, right next door on the other side of Parkside's parking lot entrance is the social club that the guy Rom apparently ran and had an apartment above. on the street view image you can see an older stocky guy of Rom's build talking to a young kid, too hard to make out if its actually Rom though
the best italian restarurant (IMO) in nyc is definitely in corona, but its not parkside. theres still a small but good number of older italians in that area

Team America over here. Ya know Sonny, you're a real fucking mutt! Don't pretend the feds are all knowing. If that were the case they would have shut down LCN long ago. 95% of what they know in those indictments, transcripts, etc. comes from former wiseguys who told them this or that. Regurgitated gossip sprinkled with their version of the facts. Why do you think it took them so long to develop their info and get conviction until well into the 80s? Because they were in the dark on most things until the WPP combined with RICO came along. Most Feds will admit how little they knew. About 80 % of what they know comes from informants, about 10% from wiretaps and bugs, and the rest is pure speculation. Kind of like they speculated Fat Tony was the real boss, Joey Merlino is a Genovese captain. The Feds aren't as bright as some of you LE fan boys believe. Hell they got multiple tips on school shooter Nick Cruz and look how that panned out. Look at how many cases they lost lately. It's a joke. Huge Rico busts with wiseguys pleading out to 2 years Maxx. You think they got a clue or care about the damage OC does to people? They just making stats look good. Look at your boy Comey and Mueller. Muh Russia, muh pornstar. They're a joke and a useful idiot to the liberals, the Rothschild's, Soros, etc.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 12:26 pmWell you should disregard 90% of the info on this board. Because that's where it came from. All the trial info? Feds. Capeci? Feds. DA press releases citing family charts and positions? Feds. Don't believe a thing the Feds say, probably best to get a new hobby.yatescj7781 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:52 am Believe the Feds again? Never believe them to start with. I have a blatant mistrust involving anything having to do with the Federal Government.

If you believe Tough Tony is a capo, then where is the indictment? That's what you base your entire views on right?Wiseguy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 1:37 pm For years people who want so much to pretend like almost everything they know about the mob isn't dependant on the feds would go to the "feds thinking Fat Tony is boss" example as a reason to disagree with them whenever they feel like it. Re: Article mentioning Tony Parkside
Yates, nobody is arguing that the bulk of the feds information comes from informants. But the feds cultivate those informants and are the ones that make those busts BASED on informants. So the fact of the matter is 95% of our information on these boards comes from the feds - a lot of which is gathered from informants whom the feds cultivate and flip.

Re: Article mentioning Tony Parkside
so you think the informants flip because the Feds "cultivate" them and not because of their own selfish survival "I cant do hard time" agendas? You think they suddenly want to be a good citizen and help the U.S. government? I've always thought of you as a naive little co-signing bastard with no original thought of his own, but after this post you have confirmed my suspicion.gohnjotti wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:16 pm Yates, nobody is arguing that the bulk of the feds information comes from informants. Re: Article mentioning Tony Parkside
The feds are the ones making the deals. The feds are the ones recording the informant's information. The feds are the ones guaranteeing a spot in Witness Protection. The feds are the ones calling them in to testify. The informants work for the feds. Simple as that.yatescj7781 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:37 pmso you think the informants flip because the Feds "cultivate" them and not because of their own selfish survival "I cant do hard time" agendas? By the way, if someone decides to agree with your point of view, are you going to be calling them a "co-signing bastard" as well with "no original thought of their own?"

Yates, it's okay to disagree with other posters but don't use this thread to attack them.

yeah, I had a feeling. the one on 51st ave you're talking about right? right next door? im not sure when the google street view image was captured - usually those are no older than 5 years old - but it was open whenever the image was taken (you can see people both inside and outside, and the members only sign on the door)Buster123 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 3:31 amThat club across from Parkside has been closed for yearsnewera_212 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 9:13 pm the d'urso / cafaro junior transcripts is one of my favorite 'wires' ever made public. ive seen that pop up on the various boards a few time over the years.
