As is typical with any topic with even the slightest hint of Chicago, it's arguing over bloated minutiae that adds nothing to the topic. Thanks to those of you who have contributed in a meaningful way.

That's interesting. It also shows that Joe Zerilli was definitely the top boss of Detroit. Handing out orders to Licavoli who was a boss on a panel of bosses in Detroit is proof that he was the top boss. Interesting that Licavoli was not happy with Detroit's younger Leadership.

Something in addition regarding the Roselli's rackets besides the Movie industry and the CIA connections, in 1958 he became Assistant City Manager for the city of Las vegas and according to some FBI reports, Roselli muscled into the garbage business by buying off the top administration. With the help of Paul Dorfman, Jimmy Hoffa, the Teamster Union and with the financial backing of Bendal Kettleman, part owner of the El Rancho Casino, Roselli attacked the already established hauling firms through a firm which was on the downfall. In fact, Roselli got the idea when a guy named Max Choson, owner of a hauling firm, asked for help to return his hauling licence from political people back in Chicago who had close contacts to the Outfit and that is when Roselli came to the scene. Everything went smooth until two years later in 1961, the scandal was revealed by the media and the federal government and that’s when Roselli cut all of his connections to the operation and after that Choson lost all of his rights to ever haul garbage in the city of Las Vegas ever again.

Good info Villain. Never would have connected Roselli with the garbage business. Again, seems like Roselli only earned by being with Chicago.
When he lived in L.A., there is no evidence (so far) that he ever did shit for the L.A. Family. LOL

i dont think its ever been questioned whether or not "joe uno" was top boss. the questions pertaining Zerilli is why he is considered Detroits "founding father" of The Partnership.

Detroit was in a 20 plus year war before Zerilli came in. Zerilli i was also on the Commision at one point, which is why Licavoli went to him im guessing.

Yes, I guess they are referring to The Partnership. But wasn't Tocco the boss of the Partnership before Zerilli? I never thought he wasn't the boss, but wasn't sure if the other bosses of The Partnership had equal power to Zerilli. With Zerilli giving a order to Licavoli it proves the he had authority over the other Partnership bosses.

Black Bill Tocco was a founding leader of the "Eastside Mob" along with Zerilli.

the reason it's called the partnership is bc it joined the three big gangs into one organization.

the eastside mob - west side - and downriver mob
