Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
I read the Fosco/Magnafichi Interviews. Not impressed at all. Magnafichi sounds like a scorned ex girlfriend gossiper who talks about who slept with who's wife and blames all his failures in life on other people. Not informative in the least. I was hoping to read about the details of his Bookmaking Office operation and some inner workings within the Elmwood Park Crew. Instead, it was basically a bunch of gossiping bullshit.
However, special thanks to Stroccos and Pete for posting the links.

I liked listening to the podcasts Fosco had with Magnifichi. He said he drove Cerone to a meeting after the Big Pauley hit. Cerone told The Chin and Salerno that Chicago didn't like what happened.

Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
Not sure why you got such an axe to grind with me but as I stated previously I add information that I think might interest people. Maybe fosco made it up or is exaggerating who knows but if we are gonna limit the information shared to only information released by the government that is limiting the knowledge that can be shared on these boards. And if you take the time to read through the link that you asked me for you would know the answer to your last question. If we want to write fosco off completely we are writing off someone who was able to provide a q and a with a made member of the outfit which is as far as I know the only time that happened. Never claimed fosco is all knowing and 100% right it’s just another source of info. But I agree we should move on since your MO is to slide into stupid little comments that you consider insults like street talk and solly d. Not sure why you struggle to believe that the outfit has made people since 89 but keep pushing those theories I know you don’t really care if you are right or wrong, you just want to beef with peopleVillain wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 11:10 pmI never asked for an MF doc but instead a link, meaning you dont have to be sarcastic about it. Soooooo....is it mentioned in the comments or Fosco told only you in a private email?! And he mentioned an induction but never went into details because he forgot to ask him or they were both too tired from typing? Also most of the comments on Fosco's site are "quite productive" and lotta "real street talk" over there Ahhhh LOL ok ill let it be....go on with your "street talk" since this is not my thread and I dont want to destroy it. yo yo respect yo and holler at Solly D for me lolPete wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 8:33 pmNo it’s not “street info” and if you read what I said it would answer your question although you weren’t asking a real question I’m pretty sure. This is what fosco told me In an email. He didn’t describe the ceremony in detail to me and whether it was a “ritualistic ceremony” just simply mags told him he was made in a ceremony in 94 or 95 (I forget which year it was) in Tony spavones restaurant in bloomingdale Illinois. Same place where frank calabrese got married. If you don’t wanna believe it, don’t. I’m just adding to the discussion what was related to me by someone who would probably know such a thing since him and Michael are very close friends. I’ll let fosco know in the future I need a Mary Ferrell document confirming anything he tells me or else I won’t be able to relate it on the message board and I’ll see if he can provide such a document for you

Guys, stop the bickering. You've both said your piece. Let's move on.
Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
That’s an interesting idea. I know he won’t discuss anyone current like vena, d’amico, or solly d but like you said will discuss the old timers. Could be worth trying to reach out I’m guessing he would most likely say no though. I know he kicked around doing a book at one point but then backed off that. Don’t know why he doesn’t he could use the moneyStroccos wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 10:45 pmThanks Pete , it seems mangnafici is pretty open about people who are dead and himself but he’s not looking to jam anyone up , I wonder if he be open to A q and aPete wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 8:50 pm https://www.americannewspost.com/joseph ... agnafichi/
I believe it is mentioned in these comments somewhere as well if you would like to read through them
Update I went through the comments. Fosco mentions a ceremony at spavones restaurant, he does not mention any names specifically but I assume this is the same ceremony he mentioned to me when we talked by email since it’s the same place, same time frame, and his reason for knowing about this would most likely come from mags

That would be great. There are alot of questions we could ask him.Stroccos wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 8:48 am, I will look into it . not sure if i believe this one, only because in 1986 even if Chicago didnt liked what happened, what could they have really done about it anyway?
Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
I'm not going to argue about whether he is telling the truth or not. He was Cerones driver. I don't find it unusual for them to meet after the hit. The Outfit and the Genovese were always close. We all know The Chin didn't like it, and wanted Gotti dead.newera_212 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 16, 2018 9:55 pmnot sure if i believe this one, only because in 1986 even if Chicago didnt liked what happened, what could they have really done about it anyway?

Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
I also believe that story may be true. The Genovese Family always had Chicago in their back pocket if needed. They were allied on the Commission for years. Gigante hated Gotti for killing his partner without permission. It went against everything. Gigante was no saint and I believe he himself was involved in a couple of Boss assassinations in the past, but they were sanctioned. I think one of them was Bruno in Philly.

Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
If Chicago had some huge interest with Pauile Castellano at the time, I believe that Gotti and Gravano would've ended up just like the Spilotros

Re: The Chicago Outfit’s Activities Today?
On the Castellano thing, I don't know if it's a matter of what Chicago would or could do, more like they understood that high profile a hit is bad for the mob in GENERAL. It just galvanized law enforcement, put the mob in the spotlight all that....
