Notorious con man sentenced to "Supermax" prison at his own request
MIAMI -- A notorious Florida conman will serve his 20-year sentence in solitary at the infamous federal Supermax prison — at his request.
A federal judge granted Jimmy Sabatino's request during a Monday hearing in Miami. The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports Sabatino told federal Judge Joan Lenard the only way to stop him from committing cons is to keep him from contacting the outside world.
Sabatino pleaded guilty to running a $10 million fraud from his cell at Miami's federal jail where he was being held for an earlier fraud. In his latest con, the 41-year-old Gambino crime family associate used smuggled cellphones to dupe luxury retailers to send jewelry, watches and other items to his outside co-conspirators.
The Supermax penitentiary in Florence, Colorado, holds some of the nation's worst criminals.
Sabatino has been in and out of prison his entire adult life. His past crimes include posing as an entertainment mogul to gain hundreds of free Super Bowl tickets and posing as a music executive while running up hundreds of thousands in unpaid hotel bills, according to the Miami Herald.
Sabatino spoke to CBS Miami in 2014, after he pleaded guilty to grand theft and organized fraud. He said he pretending to be a Sony Music executive or a Warner Brothers producer, he would book large blocks of rooms, including villas and presidential suites, with nothing more than audacity and a Gmail account.
The SLS, the Hilton Bentley, the Eden Roc, and the Omni Hilton, all fell victim to Sabatino's talents. Over a three month stretch, Sabatino ran up more than $600,000 in room charges before skipping out on the hotel staff before they realized Sabatino wasn't with Sony or Warner Brothers, CBS Miami reports.
"I would literally scratch my head in amazement that it worked, that it happened," he said. "It defied logic."
Although he now said being Supermax is the only way he would stop committing cons, he told CBS Miami in 2014 that being a con man "don't define me."
"In my entire career of being a con artist, I've never stolen anyone's pension, I've never took anyone's personal money, my victims have always been companies, corporations," he said in 2014. "Again I'm not justifying it but I'm saying in my mind there was some integrity to what I have done."

He's out of his mind to request 20 years in isolation.
He will lose his mind if the judge grants request.

If you have to do time, ADX is not a bad way to go. You get 3 hots and a cot! Your meals are brought to you - you don't have to put up with the gang bullshit in the mess hall or outside yard. You get a shower in your cell with a radio and unlike a cell tier block - you don't hear any snoring cellmates, You also get a tv and you have central air conditioning in the summer with nice baseboard heating in the winter. I found myself meditating - doing yoga - running in place and getting a lot of writing done. true it might not be for everyone but at my age I didn't want to deal with the gang bullshit anymore and found ADX worked for me.

Lol - you haven't been inside for awhile I see. Trying to do your time these days in general population is out of the question. I had Aryan Brotherhood members telling me blood in and blood out and who I had to stab in the prison yard. I blew these punks off and told the punk leader if any of his fellow punks came near me I would take their eye out with a fork. Punks tried to set me up on a phony drug deal with shit planted in my cell. I had got wind of it beforehand and let the hack know. He turned told his Boss and they set up a camera which caught the punks in my cell with the shit. All hell broke loose - so it's different times these days and ADX is the only way to go.

Negative - you do not have to be a lifer to get into ADMAX and you don't need a Judge to send you there. The BOP controls who can go and cant

Fat Pete's kid.
This guy here:
https://www.browardpalmbeach.com/news/ribfellas-6324441
There was a federal court filing that named him a Colombo capo, but he was close to Gambino. The kid wasn't made, the father most certainly was.
All this was about 7-10 (it's a bit fuzzy) years prior to me quitting making book and laying off down in South Florida. The timeline should be interesting for the Colombo guy that posts history on here.
I know some of you guys will love this post since it's coming from me, but it is what it is. As it is, Fat Pete seems to have escaped a lot of attention and a lot of "confirmed" member lists.
Frank Galgano's brother Anthony was Carlo Gambino's Godson. There is actually a photo of that online somewhere in case you don't believe me. He got pinched in a yacht theft chop shop operation.
Fred Haddad was one of many mafia attorneys.
This bullet point is what the feds think, and their thinking is confirmed in some court filings:
"Another Bobby Rubino's manager, Peter Sabatino, has been described in federal court papers as being a captain in the Colombo crime family."
Without stating what I think his role was specifically, I will "speculate" he was a liaison between Colombo and Gambino, who have, and still do work together with permission of Tampa down here. Have fun with the "permission from Tampa" part. Some of you should get a kick out of that one, and respond with some immature name calling as is your style. Or just ignore it and be an adult. That would show some growth.
Anyway, pretty sure the kid in the OP is Fat Pete's kid. Could be another similar guy, and I didn't "fact check" the article, nor am I going to. But based on the OP and the cited article, I'm almost positive this is Fat Pete's kid.

That actually makes a lot of sense and I would think would be preferable to most people over general population.NYNighthawk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 4:08 pm If you have to do time, ADX is not a bad way to go.
