Cleveland Present Day
I was just interested in Present day Cleveland and if there’s any Mob presence still left. I know nothing of this family and was only able to come up with a few names on my own. Is there still a family left or is it like KC with only a few made guys.
Re: Cleveland Present Day
The family’s been extinct for over two decades or so. Doubt there’s any mob activity there, unless you count Carmine Agnello - which I don’t.
Re: Cleveland Present Day
Joe Iocabacci and RJ Papalardo are still alive...no formal structure left, since the early 1990's

Papalardo claims he is a real estate agent for his brothers company. He was pals with Jimmy Dimora.

Re: Cleveland Present Day
Is there still any Italian neighborhoods left in Cleveland?
Re: Cleveland Present Day
Yes, Mayfield around Little Italy...it isn't like it used to be (and Italians fled out of the area into the Burbs like they did in NYC, CHI, PHI etc).MikeyRiens11 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 9:06 am Is there still any Italian neighborhoods left in Cleveland?

RJ has been selling commercial real estate for a while. Jimmy DiMora lived across the street.

The last boss of the family was John "Peanuts" Tronolone or I should say Acting Boss. It was over after Lonardo testified which was the 1980's. Funny story...one of my best friends moved into an apartment building in Gates Mills around Mayfield about 18 years ago. His neighbor was an old guy named "Anthony." My buddy used to sit on the porch and talk baseball with this guy...and it wasn't until Angelo Lonardo died that my buddy realized who "Anthony" was. My friend is not into the OC stuff, so he wouldn't have known.

Believe it or not, Cleveland was one of the most powerful families in the country at one time...especially the early days from 1910's-1950's. Here are a few links to help you get a better understanding:

Thanks JCB1977, when looking I really couldn’t find anything on them. Not even a recent pic of Papalardo. Is John “Johnny two shoes” Dimariangeli still around? I knew Carmine Agnello wasn’t connected to these guys. I figured he had his own hustle going on in Chagrin falls. Also what ever happened to Iacobacci?

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Re: Cleveland Present Day
other families have soldiers or crews in Cleveland ?
Re: Cleveland Present Day
So if there is no formal family there is it now just a series of independent bookmakes, loansharks etc etc?
