Philly boss if Joey goes away
I personally think that Merlino will walk, and i hope he does, for no other reason than to show how corrupt the FBI has been under the Obama administration. I just wondered who everyone else thinks will get the top spot assuming that in this day and time you cant run a family from prison and assuming that some wouldnt turn down the top spot because of the heat that goes with it. My pick would be Phillip Narducci,he has the street cred and knowledge and should be well respected. Whats everybody else think?

There's current conflicting Charts for the current leadership. Merlino has been Boss on all charts, but nobody seems to know for sure of the structure of the remaining positions. Before and after Merlino was indicted. I would assume it would depend on how much time he receives if found guilty. I'm just guessing Ligambi or Mazzone would be at the top of any list.
Re: Philly boss if Joey goes away
depends on how much time he gets. If he is hit with 5-8yrs. Mazzone might just be acting boss etc and no one makes a move on Merlino's control of the family. If he gets like 13-20yrs. I would imagine someone like Narducci making some moves. Or even someone close to Merlino could make moves. When someone is going away for 15-20yrs they are gone forever to allot of people. It becomes a money grab.

According to Gangsterreport, if Joey does significant time, Georgie could possibly become boss.
Re: Philly boss if Joey goes away
Everyone just gets a bump and acting in the title. Too many hitters loyal to Joey. No one is going to make a move.
Re: Philly boss if Joey goes away
Narducci is a trendy pick but he did a long bid. Why not let Georgie be acting/street boss, whatever they want to call it, and let those guys keep getting the lighting strikes. Even if Joey gets hit on this case, you gotta assume Philly’s federal office wants a Philly-based indictment and you know they’re sticking Joey at the top of that. Narducci could just sit back and let those guys keep taking the hits and build his portfolio.

Re: Philly boss if Joey goes away
The only way Georgie Boy gets it is if he whacks out several people. He isnt even supported by his own Uncle Joe Ligambi. He would love the top spot but there are people in Philly alot more respected than him. Ligambi from what i've heard wants to stay semi-retired so if the Feds get there way and put Joey away we will just have to wait and see but the case looks full of holes to me unless they flip somebody else.

Enough of Merlino's people are out to assume he would still be in control; why would his guys fall in line behind Narducci? I don't see it.

People probably read Leonetti's book one too many times. Didnt he say everyone better get out of Phil's way or bodies will drop?
Didnt happen.

I dont know who would get the top spot but if Merlino gets 15-20 years there is no way he keeps control no matter who or how many are loyal to him.

Sorry Teflon. George and Joey are tight and have been since George beat his case. His uncle is on the same page with both. Joey goes away same guys as before move up and take acting in the title.
