Carmine Franco is already worth tens of millions. Probably the wealthiest Non Made guy associated with the Genovese Family. I often wondered if he was made on the DL years ago. If he is not made he has just as much juice because of the $$$ he has brought in for the family thru carting since the early 1970s. He was banned from carting in the 80s in NJ but that he not stopped him from making money in carting since then. He used to own many apartment buildings in Hoboken that he sold to developers in that are now multi-million dollar townhomes and brown stones. Guy is fuckin loaded.. Not even sure why he is still involved he certainly doesn't need the money. I would have to imagine that he didn't have a choice in the matter....

True he made more money in Carting because of where he was (NYC) most expensive place for trash pickup in the USA. Not sure what he did with his money if he bought up real estate like Franco did. Franco clearly didn't need to financially be involved at all. Which leads me to believe his Genovese Handlers kept him involved for the $$. I also doubt he wanted to be involved at his age. He would rather be in Boca any day of the week. Once you think you are out....they pull you back in ! lol

Like I said. NYC....$$$ You just cant compete with NYC real estate. Their ties to the mob are 25yrs old. Are they no longer active since leaving the trash biz? Franco apparently was never allowed to leave even after being banned they still held sway over him and kept him active thru fronts. Like I said he didn't need the money and he isn't a made guy. So I would have to assume that Franco didn't have a choice in the matter. The Westside has continued to use Franco to make money in Trash Hauling replacing the soldiers that were convicted and banned from the industry like Scaffidi. He too tried sneaking back in after being banned with Franco in the 80s. He eventually was replaced with another soldier after his second conviction in Trash Hauling after being banned previously.
