Chauffeur seems to be a high-prestige position in the mob sometimes (like Bilotti for Castellano, for example).joeycigars wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2017 6:14 pmNJShore4Life wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2017 9:40 am http://gangsterreport.com/by-george-i-t ... ent-years/

If Borgesi doesn't end up dead or in jail he might be the Boss one day. Seems like he has the gumption for it.

He's let his underlings run the family for him since 1999. I don't think he's willingly giving up the top spot if he goes to prison again.
The way you talk, you just confuse him.

Re: New George Borgesi Article
My guess is Joey would never give up that boss title even if he were doing a ~25 year bid/effectively life. Only way he'd give it up is if it were taken from him by force or if he just lost his following and couldn't back anything up from prison.
Re: New George Borgesi Article
If it's good for the top guys on the street he may possibly be left as a figure boss. But if theses guys have been biting there tongue well then it could get interesting because of the mix of men on the street.
I guess we watch and wait.

Re: New George Borgesi Article
Seems like Borgesi is very hungry and he's forged all sorts of alliances around the country while in jail. He's regained his standing in Philly and even added to it depending upon who you ask. If Joey gets life I can see Borgesi getting acting boss until he himself gets life.
