So Jhonny apes is also a west side guy, like lapietra's?Villain wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 2:16 amYou're welcome Eline2015 and also sorry since I dont know much regarding the guys from 80s. For example, at the beginning I always thought that Solano being Prio's chauffer was a myth, but in the end it came out that he really held that position but only as a substitute driver since he also was the main messenger between Prio and Giancana. Also Solano and Prio had shared interest in the infamous Tourch Club. So I have only general info regarding Solano like he being the main official in Local 1, for quite a long period, also being DiBella's successor and he was also very close to Lenny Patrick and Dave Yaras. Later Dave's son, Lenny Yaras was direct with Solano.Eline2015 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2017 6:02 pmMany thnks, Villain. And what about Jimmy Lap, Jimmy Cozzo and SolanoVillain wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2017 12:04 pm Also Phil D'andrea was the one time boss of the biggest area including the First Ward and Near South Side and Loop, Chinatown and South Side and during one short period he also had operations in Calumet City, before going under the Chicago Heights crew. I also believe that during the 1930s D'Andrea was the Outfit's underboss and Bruno Roti became his number two guy, the same moment when Jimmy Belcastro transfered on the West Side after one internal conflict. After the death of D'Andrea, his territory was divided between Roti (Chinatown and South Side) and Frank Ferraro (First Ward, Near South Side and Loop)
As for Cozzo, all I know is that he had an arrest record dating from the late 1950s which also included narcotics, also belonged to the Grand Av crew and during the mid or late 1980s, I dont remember, he oversaw one casino on the Caribbean island of Curacao, which in fact was a money laundering operation and was previously financied by the Teamster pension fund.
And I also want to state that the old Chinatown crew, which started with D'Andrea, then Roti and ended with Frank Caruso, later or after Caruso's retirement, the group was succeeded by the Fiore Buccieri crew from the West Side and Cicero areas. In addition, Roti Sr.'s son was Fred Roti who in turn had a grandson i think named Fred Bruno Barbara, long time resident of Chinatown, garbage and trucking magnate and possible Outfit member.

I think that Monteleone started in Northlake under Pranno but Im not sure. His close associates at the time were Frank Rago, Eugene Marino and Angelo Petitt and they all started as pro burglars from those areas, meaning Pranno's territories which included Stone Park, Franklyn Park and Northlake. These guys also cooperated with Richard Cain in the same businessEline2015 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 4:33 amSo Jhonny apes is also a west side guy, like lapietra's?Villain wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 2:16 amYou're welcome Eline2015 and also sorry since I dont know much regarding the guys from 80s. In addition so you wont get confused, Pranno answered to Teets Battaglia, who in 1964 became the main "General" or underboss (same as Phil D'Andrea) by controlling a large territory which included Melrose Park, Stone Park, Franklyn Park, Northlake, Lawndale, Schiller Park, Bellwood (and possibly DuPage, Kane, McHenry counties through Daddono and part from the Near North Side or Rush Street through Caifano) and also had jurisdiction over the First Ward, before becoming the official chief executive in 1966 until 1967, and was succeeded by Phil Alderisio as underboss, who in turn was one of the so-called creators of the future Grand Av group, which later was headed by one of his underlings Joey Lombardo. In plane words, even though many researchers believe that the Grand Av crew came from Alderisio's group, still I personally believe that the crew's main roots came from Pranno's territory. You see, Alderisio became the "General" at the time, who took Battaglia's place as captain of the large territory, First Ward and also held the underboss position (same as his predecessors such as D'Andrea, Ferraro, Battaglia).
*General- I personally invented this term to explain a higher level captain who usually also held the underboss position, controlled the First Ward and also oversaw one or two "lower level" captains or a crew of overseers
