Re: Gangland news 23rd nov 2017
The term Boss in Chicago is used loosely. Ferriola was a boss, Lombardo was a Boss. Monteleone was a Boss. Zizzo was an underboss to Marcello. They do know what happened to Zizzo. They just can't find the body. They know when Difronzo retired. He retired when Marcello got out of prison. That's when he stepped back. Besides, DiFronzo might even be one of the top C.I.'S for all we know.Frank wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 1:42 pm I wasn't trying to say the Family Secrets was the only case lately. I was using it as a reference to the old cases it pertained to in conjunction with the high up CI in from the 1980,s.Nick Calebrese had alot of high up people at the Spilotro killing. My point is this supposed high ranked CI, in my opinion might not even exist. The really didn't know for sure who the bosses were until fairly recently. Had Ferriola as boss. Thought Lombardo was boss. Rare mention of Monteleone even being boss over Outfit. Listing Zizzo as underboss. Don't know when the very top bosses actually retired. All the cases had rats like Calebrese, Jahoda, Patrick and Cooley
You are right that the Feds don't know everything 100 % accurately, but they know way more than anyone who is not a Fed including knowing more than a lot of the lower echelon guys because they enhance their efforts with electronic eves dropping and surveillance IN ADDITION to the informants.

I'm not saying the feds now less than us. Someone earlier mentioned the 2 CI's. One has been said to be high ranking and been a CI sine the 1980's. But apparently he doesn't know who the correct boss is and administration over the years. And didn't know who killed the Spilotro Bros. I just don't buy that. Now with LE knowing about Solly Delaurentis so quick into his leadership I am open to a current CI. Or they could of deducted that from surveillance.

I think the two top CI'S are from the last 25 years or so which would start them into the early 1990's. Not positive.Frank wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:18 pm I'm not saying the feds now less than us. The amount of information the Feds have on each Family is NOT NECCESSARILY EQUAL. Comparing what they know about the Gambino's to what they know about Chicago is apples and oranges. It seems they know more about the smaller Chicago with the help of the 2 CI'S etc. etc. Plus, obviously, there is a lot less they have to know about Chicago. The Gambino's are MUCH bigger and have a lot more happening.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 11:49 amYes but he's also said he has no made guys feeding him info. Which means his OC sources it would appear, are mere associates. And the question must be asked of what and how much they can actually know especially concerning matters of admin.
And my infalliable comments were directed at Confederate, not yourself. I agree the Feds are far and away the most reliable source, there's no contention there.

They had Ferriola listed as the boss and Carlisi or even on some charts Rocky Infelice as underboss. I believe DiFronzo retired 2 or 3 years ago as top boss of Outfit. Marcello become the chief executive , succeeding either Al Tornebene or Joe Addriacchi after one of them had succeeded Johnny Monteleone after he died. Also Lou Marino was not charged in Spilotro case. And we know he was no CI. But Calebrese ID him present too. Don't think there was enough evidence to take Marino and DiFronzo to trial.Confederate wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:03 pmThe term Boss in Chicago is used loosely. Huh? I never compared Chicago to the Gambinos. I agree with all your points in the above post and have never posted to the contrary. I don't know who you're arguing against.Confederate wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:48 pmThe amount of information the Feds have on each Family is NOT NECCESSARILY EQUAL. Okay, no problem. I was talking more about what the Feds know concerning Chicago rather than the Gambino's.

Ferriola might have been the top Boss for a short while before he started to get sick. Who knows? Infelice WAS Ferriola's underboss.Frank wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:49 pmThey had Ferriola listed as the boss and Carlisi or even on some charts Rocky Infelice as underboss. I believe DiFronzo backed away from the Outfit a long time ago (when Marcello got out of Jail) along with his brother and Andriacchi.
Not indicting DiFronzo in the Family Secrets Case is a whole other subject.

Re: Gangland news 23rd nov 2017
Sorry just came home from work. Nick Calebrese knows that Ferriola was not the boss, he testified that Sam Carlisi replaced Joey Aiuppa. Also I've read more than one article about DiFronzo being the top boss of the Outfit till 2014 or 15. He was probably in retirement like Ricca and Accardo who were running the Outfit for years after they supposedly retired.Confederate wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 9:27 pmFerriola might have been the top Boss for a short while before he started to get sick. Re: Gangland news 23rd nov 2017
That was also over 30 years ago. I think the Feds have improved their informants, eavesdropping devices & surveillance cameras since that time.
If the Feds were right 75% of the time 30 years ago with the Chicago Outfit, they are correct 95% of the time now 30 plus years LATER.
I know, I read the same articles about DiFronzo being the Boss till 2014 or 15. I never read the Feds confirming it and it seems like he backed away years ago. He would have been crazy to have been involved up until 2014. DiFronzo is a very smart guy and worth millions upon millions of dollars legit with his brother.
Ricca was behind the scenes 45 years ago and Accardo died 25 years ago. Times are waaaay different now.
But hey, this is what the Forum is all about, right? You got your opinion and I got mine.

Well he's definitely done if it's true he has dementia. But like you said he's pretty smart
