For those of you interested in genealogical research, this is the jackpot. It's the online archives of births, deaths and marriages from Italy. This link includes all except for the Province of Palermo. Best of all, it's FREE!

These are the records currently available at FamilySearch.org:

Not all of the collections are complete, nor are they all browseable. Data is continuously being added, so if the information you're interested in is not available today, it may be available in a few months, so keep on checking. Like the other records, these are all free.

I've used these many times. Not all of them are indexed, so searching for records can be time-consuming.

I have found that it is much easier if the info or subject we are looking for is narrowed down to pinpoint the records.
