Also have to factor in a few other things. (1) Philly FBI office pitching a fit over Southern District of NY not sharing in the Joey/Westside/Florida case indicates they had something going (2) Joey won’t plead to Mickey Mouse time because it could be used as a predicate in a later RICO case (3) The lottery bust. Probably the loosest correlation but it lets us know they rackets in Philly are under heavy scrutiny

I suppose it depends on they go about doing it. Back in 2006, and of course more recently, it was reported that some Philadelphia LCN members and associates had become more involved in the housing construction, sales and mortgage industries in Philadelphia and South Jersey. In one case mob realtors, after buying row houses to rehab and rent or sell, used an employee at a home supply business order doors, window, lumber, tiles, and other building items. They then provided these free materials to mob contractors for their own projects who, in return, worked on properties owned by the mob realtors for cost using cheap labor. The mob then formed partnerships with investors and invested their money in larger construction companies and development projects.

That happens in the industry outside of the mob doing it though from your average Joe.
