Well obtaining the info needed for Cleveland 85, NYC 65, NYC 30 is proven difficult so they are kinda put off. But with NYC 88 I have all the info and don't really need to rely on anybody. If someone wants to help with social clubs I'll add them if not then no worries.

And if they don't get made, the eras are at least discussed.
Sounds great. Yeah the early ones would be very difficult to do since there is not much info. Perhaps Yates could help you out with the social clubs?

I looked at the Arthur Avenue clubs in that map and Super Star Cafe at 625 Crescent and Joe G's place at 650 were both open. There was also a place on the opposite corner next to what once was a laundromat and then became a bodega on Hughes, going up to 183rd that was open and functioned under Vinny Artuso's young guys. Amici's on Hoffman and 187th was by then under Vinny Artuso also, having earlier been Joe Dente's place.
By then Joe Dente had a club on the opposite side of Joe Gambino's place on Crescent, close to the intersection with 187th.
Club Arthur, Rudy Santobello's place was open. There was also a place that his partner Danny Cilenti had on 189th and Cambreleng.
Patsy Parello used to have a place on 189th just off of Hughes, across from Butchies Deli.
Mickey Morris' place was closed for a long time.
There was another place just off of 187th on Beaumont that Johnny Mascia used to operate out of.

I think that's all I can remember right now.

Great post Bruno! Do you remember what kind of location the place of Jimmy Angellino, located at Crescent and East 187th Street was? Was it a social club or some kind of a business establishment?
There you have it, never printed before.

If I remember correctly, Jimmy Angelinn's place was an old place that went back probably to the 40's.or 50's...it was then called "Shorty's"
There was a fire there in the 70's and the place never really came back fully.
The place immediately next door was the smaller place that by the 80's had been taken over by Joe Dente.
They are two storefronts underneath 663 Crescent Avenue.

I'm trying to post a screenshot but this fucking Mac is giving me fits.

Similar boat. Hold down Shift, Command, 4. Rather than an entire automatic screenshot you'll be prompted to drag your cursor over the selected area you wish to copy, once that is done you'll hear a camera click and it'll save on your desktop.

I remember seeing an excellent graphic online of the five boroughs with all known clubs, businesses etc labelled- i think it was from the 80s.It was from a magazine- possibly New York Magazine? I just spent a while trying to relocate it, but have had no luck. Has anyone seen what I'm vaguely describing?

Alex, I think that's the one where they noted "mafia graveyards" down in the South Bronx off of Seward Avenue/Bruckner Boulevard and mentioned Papa Dave by name.
My mother read it and it scared the shit out of her....she knew him as a "kindly older gentleman who used to get his hair cut every other week and hold doors for her".

The one from the early 70s, orange backround with a map of the five boroughs and soldiers and capos that operate in specific parts of the city? Is that the one were are talking about?
