It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Looks great. There's a few typos, like Vincent Roa should be Vincent Rao, and Charles Battaglia of Tuscan should be Tucson.

What would you guys think of a 1931-32 chart in the future? Would be challenging, but interesting.

Pogo and I just discussed doing an earlier chart. We can start a discussion on it and see where how it goes.

Re: Pogo

Thank you again. I'm going through the FBN Mafia book to obtain as many home addresses for the above as I can, once that's done I'll post those I'm missing and see if we can get an approximate address.

Salvatore “Sally the Sheik” Mussachio/Joseph Greca (Acting) - Brooklyn
John “Johnny Bath Beach” Oddo - Brooklyn
Carmine “Junior/The Snake” Persico - Brooklyn
Nicoline Sorrentino/Frank Fusco (Acting) - Brooklyn
Pogo, Harry Fontana was still an official captain but had Vincenzo "Jimmy" Muce acting for him.
Vincent Aloi was also a captain in 1965.
Genovese:

Capos:
James "Jimmy" Angellino – Brooklyn
Angellino was based out of a location at 187th Street and Crescent Avenue in the Bronx. Not Brooklyn.

Gambinos:

Capos:

Arthur “Chink” Leo (Died in 1965)/David “Papa Dave” Amodeo – Bronx
Leo was succeeded by Tony "The Baker" Napolitano Sr after his death in 1965. This crew was mostly East Harlem/Queens based. Amodeo (Bronx based) was a captain already in 1957 when Scalise´s crew was split between Amodeo and Leo. Papa Dave still a captain in 1965.
Charles “Rosario” Dongarro - Manhattan
Joe N. Gallo acting for Dongarro who was basically semi retired.
Lucchese:

Administration:
Boss: Gaetano "Tommy/Three Finger Brown" Lucchese
UnderBoss: Stefano LaSalle
Consigliere: Vincent "Nunzio" Roa

Capos:
Ettore Coco - The Bronx
Joseph “Joey Narrow” LaRatro – Queens and Long Island
Joseph “Joe Brown” Lucchese – The Bronx
Benjamin “Penooks” Pizzolato – North Jersey
Salvatore “Tom Mix” Santoro – The Bronx
Carmine "Mr. Gribs" Tramunti – East Harlem
Paul Vario/Salvatore Vario (Acting) – Brooklyn and Queens
You´re missing Chris Furnari, Joe Rosato, Jimmy Plumeri, Joe Lagano and Ciro Giampola who was acting but I don´t know for whom.
Joe "Hooks" Capra acting for Santoro (who was in prison) and although Coco was considered for the top spot after Lucchese´s death doubtful if he was a captain in 1965 (he had been previously).
Benny Pizzolato died in 1964, succeeded by Joe Abate.
There you have it, never printed before.

Wasn't Marangello a captain then? I believe he took part of the Notaro crew but went with DiGregorio. This is the first I've seen Galante listed as a captain in the mid-1960s. Joe Notaro took over Galante's crew after he went to prison, but did something come out saying Galante kept his captain status under DiGregorio?

This is a good collection of lists.

You're right. Galante was no longer a captain in 1965. He was demoted by Bonanno.

This seems to have been the same point when the Montreal crew split off from the Galante/Notaro crew.

I assume Galante was demoted not because of his heroin trafficking but because of the length of his prison sentence. There aren't many examples of captains back then who received long sentences and maintained acting captains, that I know of at least. In the past few decades it is much more common for a captain to keep his title even while serving 10+ years away.

I will have to go back and read Bill Bonanno what he said but I think he was demoted due to him being found guilty in his drug case. Another informant (possibly Riccobene) said Galante was shelved and retired.
