Looks like something that could be made for TV (like the 1996 HBO version) and go to Netflix. Worth a watch but, aside from the story being well worn at this point, a far cry from Coppola or Scorsese.

I didnt realize Kelly Preston played Victoria Gotti- PASS! Or at least pass until it comes to Netflix.

Pruitt Taylor Vince and Leo Rossi are in it- so at least two good actors.

Stacey Keach plays Neil Dellacroce- he was fantastic in Nebraska, but he can be uneven.

Thought it would've looked worst. Doesnt look too bad though the lack of characters from the mob, and the narrative that Gotti is god may be annoying as hell. Surprised they didnt play up the Gravano flipping, in the trailer.

Travolta can't beat Assante and Keach certainly can't beat Quinn. Best casting looks to be the guy who plays Ruggiero. Not impressed by the trailer at all. It's ludicrous that there are now 3 movies about Gotti, one of the worst bosses of the Mafia.

"Mike Hammer" playing a mafioso Would probably have the same effect I had when I watched the French series "Les Cordier, juge et flic" (watched it in Italian) with Pierre Mondy playing a police officer (sometimes tough with criminals, but honest), and then seeing him in the series "La piovra 6" (the octopus) where he is a mafia boss, but not just a "normal" one, but a sort of a psycho like "Gaspipe" Casso or Toto' Riina (probably the character is based on Riina, since he has the old Commission whacked and acts like a megalomaniac, just as Riina did in real life).
Or Bruno Cremer as commissioner (commissaire) Maigret, and then a "criminal mastermind" in "the Octopus". It's not always easy to get used to the same faces switching between 2 opposite extremes...

Why would it fail? depends on what you expect, i just want a decent mob movie. All the Gotti based movies have faults, heck all the mob movies are loosely based on real events.

Agree with wiseguy...HBO flick was good..Assante was Damm good as Gotti
