Can anyone give me some quality info on Jimmie DeGeorge (aha Vincenzo DiGiorgio) Chicago Outfit member- I'm looking for things like birthdate, place of birth, standing in the Outfit, arrests, timeline-type info. I don't want to rely on any websites and can't find anything good other than the basics.

Villain wasn't Prio on the board of directors of the Outfit,I had seen a chart from the early 1960s where he was listed as Capo of North side and on the Board. Very powerful guy in the Oufit. Read that when Giacanna was boss and ordered a hit on Esposito in the 1960s he told the hit team to make sure Prio didn't find out. Hit was to take place in Florida and Prio was down in Florida at the time. Ricca ended up ordering the hit cancelled.

During my research on Prio, I had the feeling like he always had some power over the the rest of the capos even though he was captain himself . You can rarely see reports of Prio attending some big meeting but you can often notice his name together with Ricca and Accardo and bosses from other cities.

Priola's son Phil did as well as Frank Buscemi who worked under DeGeorge, though both were made in Rockford in 1956 and 1959, respectively.

That's the popular held belief, but I have FBI files into the mid 80s that identify Buscemi as underboss- he died in 1987 without reaching the top spot. Mid-1960s FBI files spoke of distrust of Buscemi on the other member's parts since Buscemi was from Chicago.
