Re: Ohio 1960's
I worked in Niles for a few years and would break for lunch where all the "Boys" went for lunch.
Sometimes I would be invited to sit with them. Joe was a regular except for Wednesdays during football season. He would pick up a pizza from the Sunrise Inn in Warren and bring it back for lunch.
Occasionally I would meet my Dad and Charlie for lunch and saw Joe come in for his pizza and put a large envelope in the pick up window that was a converted bank teller's window from an old bank. He never acknowledged Charlie thus no one ever saw Charlie take an envelope from him. I always said that Charlie was the sharpest pencil in the box

Re: Ohio 1960's
Interesting tidbit: Carl Lafatch lived exactly one block over from my Mom and Dad's house and on the block on the other side of Carl LaFatch my brother lived on the other side. My nieces and nephew would cut through there to see my Mom and Dad. I don't remember ever meeting him.

Re: Ohio 1960's
I never looked for his obit so it very well may be there , Jcb did post of a picture of carl lafatch I saved it to a. Laptop that went down it won't start up . So unless jcb is willing to repost and let it be used for the chart I don't have it . I wouldn't use anyone else's pictures because it's possible they didn't want them shared . The only exception if it's from a newspaper or a mugshot . Also for this chart we will be using photos from a few books , mugshots , newspapers , old photos , facebooks, twitter , instagram etcFriendofFamily wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:57 am Hey Stroccos

Re: Ohio 1960's
Murgie really knew how to fly under the radar , it some of those old FBI files people associated him with Cleveland . It sounds far fetched wonder if that could possibly be true , as pat ferrucco was once with Cleveland then at some point switched teams ? Do you know if murgie was a Calabrian or Sicilian ?FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:05 am I worked in Niles for a few years and would break for lunch where all the "Boys" went for lunch.

Re: Ohio 1960's
No I don't remember meeting him, I may have, but I do know of someone (currently lives in Chicago and used to live in Akron) that hung around with him a lot and drove him where he needed to be. He told me of the various kicking up from Jimmy Lafatch and Construction Companies and Labor. Also using his company for various activities. I learned about the women who cook for him and did his hair, nails, and massages. Get his newspaper etc. He lived with his daughter in Tallmadge in later years. He got in trouble for Food Stamp/Welfare fraud.Stroccos wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:40 amDid you ever meet Paul demaio ? I believe Charlie was Sicilian. I also believe that when his Father came to the US he was a member of Black Hand in Italy.Stroccos wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:39 amMurgie really knew how to fly under the radar , it some of those old FBI files people associated him with Cleveland . Welfare fraud guess he was always on the hustle . I was told by a few he was made and by others he wasn't made. I have seen one mention on madryferral of him being a member. he was involded in gambling and armed robberies in his younger years .FriendofFamily wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:51 amNo I don't remember meeting him, I may have, but I do know of someone (currently lives in Chicago and used to live in Akron) that hung around with him a lot and drove him where he needed to be. Re: Ohio 1960's
There was a mistake and I believe you put Antonio Lima and you meant to put mollica. There is no Antonio LimaChris Christie wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 12:17 pm1) Mollica as a rep or soldier?Stroccos wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:36 ami can start emailing those pictures this evening at some pointChris Christie wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2017 9:11 pm Awesome. Antonio "godfather " Mollica is the Mansfield rep , I believe he was a made guy . According to some FBI files on maryferral he wasn't highly sought of . While he didn't hold much status outside of his county mob wise . For years He was a local behind the scenes political power broker in his county . He was dubbed he "godfather " by the locals . Not sure how active he was in his later years ,
