Re: Ohio 1960's
It seems Cleveland's interests in Youngstown deserve another look. Seems like there wasn't so much as a crew there as much as it had members operating there or having interests there. It would appear that some Cleveland city members had non-made associates acting as their lieutenants/conduits in that city.
Underneath the top three men- Scalish-Milano-Demarco- there was no one higher in Cleveland than Brancato, no one higher in Youngstown than Licavoli of Cleveland. Moceri had Akron and Delsanter had Warren but it's still an open question if he was a capo since he Licavoli- also a capo- was his direct superior.

I knew only 2 Cleveland made men in the Mahoning Valley: Tony Delsanter - Warren and Ronnie Carabbia - Struthers.

That would make sense along with Charles Vizzini although he was mostly retired by '65 as per sources. So all these other guys were associates and Licavoli's influence extended well beyond YT. The chart on page 1 will have to undergo a revamp.FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 8:27 am I knew only 2 Cleveland made men in the Mahoning Valley: Tony Delsanter - Warren and Ronnie Carabbia - Struthers.
You guys are set on Delsanter being a captain answering to another captain? I don't pretend to know any better just raising questions.

Re: Ohio 1960's
Funny you would mention Charles Vizzini. My Dad would occasionally invite the guys from the Jockey Club up to play golf at the country club. I remember either Chuck or Jo Jo having my Dad call Charles to come and play with them.
Charles bought a new cap before he teed off and hit his ball into the woods on the first hole. While looking for his ball a bird took a shit on his new cap. He looked up at the bird and said: "For the richa' you sing"

My only question would be when was Ronnie c made ? He would of only been twenty or so in 1950 . If the books were closed by scalish . With guys like lonardo waiting for there buttons in the late 40's. It is possible scalish made a few guys after 1950 as well
If delsanter was a capo and carabbia wasn't , carabbia may of been under delsanter being he would of been the only active made guy there . Outside of some of old time guys who were mostly inactive

I only know what I was told. As to when and/or who made RC, good question. I only knew Tony as a Consigliere.Stroccos wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 11:08 amFriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 8:27 am I knew only 2 Cleveland made men in the Mahoning Valley: Tony Delsanter - Warren and Ronnie Carabbia - Struthers.

If I remember right JCB said Ronnie Carabbia was made by Licavoli in prison after the Greene hit.

I have to look into it that I am not familiar with those guys . Off the top of my head I say malfotano wasn't made he was on the same level as billy Sunday lantini.
If I recall correctly lupo was getting paid to do nothing for a big vending company . Possibly others will know more

I am not contradicting anything you were told Foh. I believe you were told that . I just have a different believe . Mine is that the books were closed from around 1950 to 1976.FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 12:17 pmI only know what I was told. As to when and/or who made RC, good question. Re: Ohio 1960's
No question that Stroccos has much greater knowledge of Cleveland than I have. However I don't think there is any question that Tony Delsanter was a Cleveland Made Man.
Hopefully JCB will chime in to recant what Pogo has posted that RC was made in prison after the hit on Danny Green.

Well I would say have far greater knowlege of youngstown then i do and pitt as well. If you are RC was A made soldier in the 60's i want to revisit and look into that more.FriendofHenry wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 5:53 pm No question that Stroccos has much greater knowledge of Cleveland than I have. so what does everyone think? put ronnie carabbia on top as clevelands top man there? , and everyone else in big block. With FOh , jcb and Allan mays book all drawing the same conclusions. There is no proof any of those guys were made men at least on the cleveland faction side.
FOH is telling us Vinzzini is not made , we will go with that. I had a copy of some of his fbi file but i lost it when my one computer went down.
Antother not how many associates do we want to list?

Re: Ohio 1960's
The most common belief is that RC was made after the Danny Green hit. I've heard that he was actually made in prison. I reached out for JCB to see what he can add or subtract from that.
Most would consider Tony Dalsanter the top guy in all of the Mahoning Valley with RC being the top Cleveland guy in the Youngstown area.
