Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
In 1912 there was an important Lo Cicero on East 39th and most likely factors into the succession with that crew.
Wasn't there also another faction of Agrigentesi in Lower Manhattan circa 1910's headed by Accurso Di Mino?

Thanks Antiliar, very much.
Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
Do we know whose running the crew of Benjamin Castellazzo now?
Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
Asking because I doubt he can run the crew, considering not only is he on supervised release but he is also banned from travelling to New York - living in Jersey.
Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
Forlano's Florida Crew.
Here's what I can gather for the Colombo's South Florida crew. Forlano became close friends with Tom Farese in prison in the early 1970s. Farese, born in Boston and based in Fort Lauderdale, wasn't associated with the Mafia at this point as far as I can gather, but I could be wrong. After Forlano was released, he moved to Ft. Lauderdale with Farese and they started up a marijuana trafficking operation which lasted until 1980. Forlano died in 1977 and sponsored Farese, who was made a year later.
Nicholas 'Jiggs' Forlano (Mid-1970s-1977) Died
John 'Johnny Irish' Matera (1977-1981) Murdered
Anthony Induisi (1981-1989) Imprisoned
Thomas 'Tom Mix' Farese (1994-1996) Imprisoned
Reynolds 'Ren' Maragni (1996-2000) Imprisoned
- Joseph 'Joey Flowers' Rotunno (Acting Capo) (1996-2000) Imprisoned
Reynolds 'Ren' Maragni (2002-2011) Imprisoned/Flipped
- Thomas 'Tom Mix' Farese (Acting Capo) (2011-2011) Promoted to Official Capo

Pogo, this seems to say that Eddie Coco took over from Tommy Lucchese back in 1931 when Lucchese became underboss. The key here is that CI says "when Lucchese moved into the hoodlum upper echelon." which was in 1931 unless he means in 1951 when Lucchese was made boss.East Harlem Crew:
Ettore "Fast Eddie" Coco (19??-1953/5) Imprisoned.
Giovanni “Big John” Ormento (1953/5-1959) Imprisoned.
There you have it, never printed before.

Great find HK. This pretty much confirms that Lucchese was a Reina era Capo (unless of course it was Gagliano who promoted him in 1930).

Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
What details do you have on Anthony 'Chucky' Russo and the Scarpa crew? From what I could gather from the 1993 indictment of Joseph Russo & Joe Monteleone, it seemed as if Chucky was with JoJo's crew.

Ren Maragni wasn't made until 2008. Rotunno was indiced as a Soldier in 2000. From what I gather the Florida Crew was disbanded after Inuisi was imprisoned in 1989.
Chucky and JoJo Russo were Capos of seperate Crews. This according to Carmine Sessa. Though I'm sure during the war all their guys were bunched together.
By the way I've updated the list to include all th corrections and additions that have come out since this was posted.

They refer to Joseph Russo's crew and Anthony Russo's crew as the same entity (The Russos' crew).

Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
Perhaps the crews merged during the war when some members of the crew joined Orena's faction under Big Sal Miciotta.gohnjotti wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 9:34 pm https://scholar.google.co.nz/scholar_ca ... s_sdt=2006

Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
Any thoughts on who took over Benji Castellazzo and Richie Fusco's old crew?
Re: 5 Family Crew Succession
His crew was active in Gravesend if that helps.
