According to the detective who wrote "The Brotherhoods", Amuso did the Luongo hit himself. Went to the bathroom and came back and straight shot Luongo in the face.

What year did he die? Did he have any involvment when Vic and Gas ran the show?Ivan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:09 pmFrom 1985, when he was rounded up for the "talking Jaguar", to his death, IIRC.DPG wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 12:29 pm How long was Ducks in the can before he died? Im wondering how much say he had once he went in the can and also what kinda role Christie Tick played post 85 86. I need to take the time to look into this since its kinda sparked my interest. Ive been way to busy to spend any kinda time reading or researching.

HK also posted a while back about a contract on Anthony "Elmont" Mannone, who was then a Lucchese associate and later became a Bonanno capo:

Mannone fled NY and settled in Florida after finding out. Some years later, after a sitdown, Mannone was cleared and allowed to switch his affiliation to the Bonanno Family. He briefly worked as a maitre d’ at Massino´s restaurant CasaBlanca before becoming made with the Bonannos.

Corallo died in 2000.
My understanding is once he transferred leadership he was not involved, effectively shelved.

Re: Hits under Amuso and Gaspipe
So if he named an acting, as the hit list says, wouldnt you think he was trying to have some kind of hold on the family? Kinda sounds like Vic and Gas took control instead of the normal narrative; that power has always been peacefully handed down in this particular family. This would explain the family shifting away from its historical power base, right?SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 7:06 amCorallo died in 2000.

John Gotti did say that Tony Ducks looked like a "fucking bum" because he wore that old sweater at his trial.

Re: Hits under Amuso and Gaspipe
When Tony Ducks went into the can to do life at his age - it had to be a maximum prison. When you say he was shelved by Amuso and Casso- does that mean he was not sent money to either his commissary account or to his family? Did he leave a family behind?

Re: Hits under Amuso and Gaspipe
Perhaps 'shelved' was the wrong term. I assume he retained the rank of soldier after transferring leadership. No idea whether he/his family were sent envelopes or conversely he retained any rackets etc.
He fades into quick obscurity in the Aumos/Casso years so the assumption is he plays no part after positional duties were transferred. As to the specific status that left him Ive not read anything pertaining too.
