Gabriel Infanti Question

I had a quick Gabriel Infanti question. I've heard it referenced that one of the reasons Infanti was killed in 1987 was because he was blamed for a hit that happened that turned into a double murder because another person was there who shouldn't have been. But I'm having trouble finding the names of those victims, when it happened and the reasoning for it. Does anyone know who they were and the details?

He was killed because of that and also because he failed to kill a witness against Massino in an early labor racketeering case that led to Massino getting jail time prior to him being boss. So I believe that is the main reason he was killed . He failed to kill a witness against Massino.
