Leo Mocei:

Leo was arrested for numebreous murders in Detroit
in 1930, Yonnie Licavoli married to Zena Moceri, and after that he, Leo, James Licavoli and John Mirabella moved to Toledo
In 1934, after murder indictment, Licavoli Mirabella and Moceri fled the city
Moceri relocate to Califronia until his arest in 1951 when he was convinct for extortion
Released in 1957, and relocate to Warren

became a member of the Russo's gang with cousins
relocate to Detroit in 26-27, where his cousins were a prominent members of the underworld
arrested for the numerous murders in Detroit
in 1930 moved to Toledo
in 1934 fled the city
according to Fratianno, Licavoli lived in Cleaveland by the end 1930's
takes rackets in Youngstown from Frank Cammarata, after his deportation in 1946

ike in my previous sources from Mary ferrel, Moceri and Licavoli more report Detroit than Scalish in 1960s

Nick Licata was with Detroit but had issues with the leadership and transferred to Los Angeles. Leo Moceri may have started with Detroit, but he went to Los Angeles then to the Cleveland Family. And some of the Detroit crews probably go back to the 1910s.
Re: Detroit mob crews timeline
I think Big Frank Matranga was related to John Priziola of Detroit, but Bomp said he wasn't a made guy. He was just a relative. Same for several other Matrangas. Willie "the Rat" Cammisano of KC also lived in San Diego but was still with KC. California was home to a lot of people from other Families, but those people didn't form crews in California. Just like Tony Accardo lived in Palm Springs but was still with Chicago. Others, like Gaspare Matranga, transferred from their previous Families to the Los Angeles Family.

So when the relationships between Moceri, Licavoli and Detroit mob are finally off? When they are stoped reported to Detroit?Stroccos wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2017 11:05 amYou can also find Informants who report moceri told them his boss is scalish .Eline2015 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2017 1:36 am And about Moceri and Licavoli, when they transfered to Cleaveland?

Re: Detroit mob crews timeline
OlBlueEyesClub is right,
I am far from perfect and have been wrong before.
My sources in Det have told me Papa Tony Mirabile was Detroit's capo in San Diego and his crew was passed to Joe Matranga, Papa John Priziola's son-in-law, back in the day - Matranga died in '99.

Re: Detroit mob crews timeline
I think they always had some ties , one interesting thing if accurate according to what ray ferrito told the FBI after he flipped . Licavoli had offered to make ferrito in Detroit and give him part of the Youngstown rackets . Now he could of been just talking out of the side of his mouth as well.Eline2015 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2017 4:26 pmSo when the relationships between Moceri, Licavoli and Detroit mob are finally off? Re: Detroit mob crews timeline
Ferrito said he'd be made in Cleveland. He left LA to get made there.
I don't remmember any mention of Detroit with him.
