Gravano's Opinion of Carmine Persico

In his book Underboss, Gravano speaks highly of the Persicos, especially Carmine - describing him as a very street smart guy whonwas really only convicted through other people's mistakes. Does anyone agree with this or is he truly just a terrible boss?

Carmine was for sure smart and street tough, after all he heads tha fam for so long. Even from jail.. i personally think there were a lot of lunatics in that fam and the lot of bad bood goin back to Profaci...some of them.

He never managed to contol the men in the early 90s, any war on that level is disaster for everything..

And also I think Sammy bull didn't have any problems with carmine... sammy's problems were with the Spero's
