See, because this is framed as a "docu-comedy" or whatever it's going to be garbage. From the trailer it's going to be staged events where they act like wiseguys under inappropriate circumstances and do the whole loud NY Italian thing.

Cantarella was a captain and member of a ruling panel and his uncle, two cousins, and son were all members of the Bonannos, plus Cantarella had strong ties to the Gambino family. One of those cousins was f'n Tony Mirra -- no doubt he would have some good anecdotes on that maniac. They could do an incredible documentary interviewing him about his life and include his experiences after flipping, but it's going to be this trashy cash grab on some network aimed at housewives.

Who was his other made cousin? I'm drawing a blank at the moment. Thanks.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Yep, D'Amico is who I was referring to.

I might actually watch the show if D'Amico showed up on it. I would guess there is some bad blood there, given that Cantarella's cooperation is what led D'Amico to flip. D'Amico might also be a little more reluctant to show his face in public after the alleged beating he got in NYC recently.

D'Amico is a character. Didn't hear about the beating. When did that happen?

I asked an older friend of mine from NY, Can Massino walk around Queens, what will happen? And he said Nooooo, he's not walking around Queens.

So, where is he? Anybody know?

Massino’s brother-in-law, former Bonanno underboss Salvatore Vitale, also turned informant and served only seven years in prison for 11 murders.

Massino testified in just two trials — against Basicano and Genovese capo Anthony Romanello — with mixed results.

“Anthony Romanello thanks Massino for being such a disgraceful witness that the jury acquitted Mr. Romanello,” said defense lawyer Gerald McMahon.

Interesting, only two trials? I imagine he gave a lot behind the scenes on paper or so, but it appears not that great as a CW. His brother-in-law, Vitale, on the other hand did some damage. Wonder if they're hanging out too!

Does anyone know the amount of dollars/assets Massino was able to keep? What about Vitale?

Massino also led the Feds to the bodies of Trinchera and Giaccone. Thing was by the time he flipped just about everyone he could have hurt with direct testimony had either flipped or was already in prison.

Then why make a deal with the guy? You'd think getting the boss IS THE PRIZE, right? Tell the big guy, here it is, tell us what you know and we don't go for the death penalty otherwise, adios fucker.
