Wasn't that the reason he was demoted as Capo (his trying to recruit Philly guys without permission)? Pretty sure that was written about somewhere.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

That would make sense. Jnr making a move to antagonize Merlino whilst he and his key guys were away.Pogo The Clown wrote:Wasn't that the reason he was demoted as Capo (his trying to recruit Philly guys without permission)? Pretty sure that was written about somewhere.
Ive always thought Jnr getting knocked down whilst bringing in a ton of First plus $ straight to Amuso didnt make much sense by itself.
Though this could point to how much power Amuso actually has.

Re: Scarfo Sr is dead.
I have no idea if Amuso was involved or privy to it. I do know that when JR got busted down to Soldier SR was livid and wrote a letter to JR calling the P & T's all rats ! lolOlBlueEyesClub wrote:Yea, I figured it had to be NY and the guys that actually called the shots on the streets. So they weren't taking any direction from Amuso at that point? And they busted down Jr, and made the Perna's & Taccetta kids, basically without any input from Amuso?
Re: Scarfo Sr is dead.
I think its all stretch about Scarfo Jr wanting to take over Philly. And def not even doable even if he managed to pull a few guys away from Merlino. All that was JR and SR fucking with Merlino . Scarfo Jr was not well liked in N Jersey. Losing Merola was the beginning of a series of things that eventually led to Scarfo packing up and moving away from North Jersey. He was bumped down from acting Capo not long after moving down there.Pogo The Clown wrote:Wasn't that the reason he was demoted as Capo (his trying to recruit Philly guys without permission)? Right. God didn't like Scarfo so he made him live to be 87 in jail. Gotti got off easy died 10yrs in. That's the way to go when you got life. Look at Whitey Bulger. That guy won even though he is in jail in his 80s. He will kick it soon. He beat the Feds and Mob lol Had a nice 12-16yrs(I forget how long) on the run living in Sunny CA. $1mil in the wall to live off of.

Never know with Bulger. He was always a health nut.
Re: Scarfo Sr is dead.
Scarfo Jr approached Lou Fazzini's brother. Not Lou. Licata and Lou really don't like little Nicky. I think Nick was probably too scared to approach Lou himself. If Lou looked at Nick the wrong way Nick would shit himself. Lou is a pretty massive guy and can be pretty intimidating. His brother is a large guy too but not made. It's well known that Licata doesn't like Scarfo Sr or Jr. To be honest I think the whole taking over Philly was more Hype then anything. I think it was a little of SR and JR trying to fuck with Merlino and his guys more then anything and also there was a a bit of propaganda by Newark area guys associated with the Lucchese's, Philly and Gambino family to get Nick pushed down and sent packing. Which worked it seems. When JR came out of prison the last time he was a lone duck in North Jersey w/ no real friends. No way that kid could have taken over Philly.Chucky wrote:Well Nicky Jr did approach Joe Ciancaglini Jr and Lou Fazzini, so he was reaching out to people and telling them they should report to him which is kinda brazen...I wonder if this was going on before he got bumped down from skipper. This also all occurred, Nicky Jr approaching people, before Merlino, Mazzone, Borgesi and John Ciancaglini were released from prison.
Re: Scarfo Sr is dead.
Oldest imprisoned guys in each family:
Genovese: Louis Manna/87
Gambino: Frank Locascio/84
Lucchese: Matthew Madonna/81
Bonanno: Joseph DeSimone/82
Colombo: John Franzese/99
Chicago: Joseph Lombardo/88
Philadelphia: Salvatore Sparacio/95
Don't know enough about the other families to list theirs.

Joey D parole eligibility has passed. Jan 17th. He should see the board within the month and if he gets parole it'll be a month after that.Rocco wrote:how old is DiNapoli. he is in state prison
