KC loses an associate to the afterlife
Kansas City associate (Rumored to have been made) Joseph Porrello passed away on Nov 2 2016. Joe was convicted along with his soldier father Angelo Porrello of masterminding the Tivol Jewlery Store robbery on the Country Club plaza which at the time was the largest robbery of it's kind estimated to have been around $4,000,000.00. His father and his Father in law were made member of the Kansas City family.

I notice that a Joe Mike Bonadonna was a pallbearer. Was this a relation to Freddy of River Quay fame?

Four million bucks from a Jewelry store robbery. They made off nice. Any idea if the stuff was ever recovered or what?

This robbery was featured on the show masterminds. The feds recovered it when the arrested the leader of yhe robbery crew. Angelo and joe hired a robbery crew to rob the store they were very good in fact the cops had nothing to go on. They only got csught because angelo tried to rip the crew off. He was suppose to pay 400 thousand for the job. When it came time to pay angelo tried to only pay 200 thousand. The crew leader burnet then tried to move the stuff through another fence whom the feds were wastching for other reasons. That got them all busted.OlBlueEyesClub wrote:Four million bucks from a Jewelry store robbery. They made off nice. Any idea if the stuff was ever recovered or what?

Any relation to the Cleveland Porrello's?

Very interesting. I know Rick Porrello fairly well, he's actually going to be putting out a new book on Jewish loanshark/gambling boss Shondor Birns. Good stuff, good post.
