George Anastasia interview about John Alite
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyNojnCTRWg
A very good interview. Anastasia spent alot of time interviewing Alite. I'm curious what our new poster- Chris Kasparona (sp?) something has to say. I for one, think Anastasia made good points regarding the Junior Gotti's attempts to downplay the incident involving his speaking with the feds. If you have a counter argument I'd be interested in hearing it.
As a researcher I picked up the portion where he mentions the difference between Neapolitans and Sicilians and the point, when summarized is exactly that. At 3:20: "Each section of Italy has it's own subculture, and the image in Naples is facciu un' bella figura, to look good while doing it, and that's part of that Napolitan' approach to that life, they're roosters, look at me. The only other gangster (besides Gotti) of the province from Naples was Al Capone with the same kind of approach, you know the Sicilians they want to hide in the corner, you don't need to know who I am or what I'm about. That's the difference, I think, between Sicilian and Napolitan' gangsters." He's spot on in his summation. However, with everything mob related- exceptions always. One could bring up Sicilian Luciano who, by the above, acted Napolitan in his approach against Vito Genovese, who preferred the SicileeeeAN old style way. But by and large, this is the same way I'd summarize two factions before breaking individuals down by personal operandi which was a very grey area and one must take Americanization into account. But one point I remember from some SS files is that the Sicilians always wore black and the Neapolitans wore "fanciful colors."

The host of that show and the gotti faction have been in some heated verbal altercations on fb.

I've seen a number of John Ricciutti's interviews. He actually invited me on his show to counter Alite/Anastasia and I used clips from his interviews with Alite, Anastasia, and former FBI Agent Dave Gentile (one of Alite's handlers since the early 90s) in I think 11 different posts on the website to show all the lies that were being told: http://johnalitefacts.com/category/john-ricciutti/

the first thing I read is about Ronnie Truccio blaming Alite in his opening arguemnt. Weather is sworn testimony or not thats a rat move. Didnt need to read anything else

Ronnie Trucchio is doing life plus 20 years. If he had "ratted" on Alite, it would be Alite doing life or at least 20 years. In addition, by the time Trucchio went to trial it was already known Alite was trying to cut a deal to testify from Brazil. By that point it was also known that Alite had been a confidential informant since the 1990s and that Alite was writing people letters from Brazil saying that if they didn't send him money he would testify against them and put murders on them-- murders that they didn't even do. So why should Trucchio care about Alite?Stroccos wrote:the first thing I read is about Ronnie Truccio blaming Alite in his opening arguemnt. Weather is sworn testimony or not thats a rat move. And again, opening statements can't be used against people. Stuff like that happens all the time-- suggesting that others may have done the crimes-- and the other people may be okay with it because it doesn't affect them.
The only thing connecting Trucchio to the Tampa case was Alite running around committing crimes down there and saying it was on behalf of Trucchio. That's it. And Trucchio was just saying that Alite acted on his own.
If Truccio was a "rat," he would not be doing life plus 20 years.

I don't see that as a rat move... One arm had no control over what his lawyers opening statement was... The lawyer just acted on knowledge of the shit alite was pulling. Now if one arm had implicated and testified against others than yes he would have been a rat.

I am not saying he should care about Alite, What I am saying if A guy is blaming me in open court . That is a rat move , (just like gotti jr being a queen for the day. Is a rat move) . maybe not in todays pussyied mafia . So again Why wouldnt ALite take the deal, testfiy agaisnt Gotti and you walk , especially if its all bs , he be stupid not t take the deal. If they would of just whacked Alite problem would of been solved years ago.kasparoza wrote:Ronnie Trucchio is doing life plus 20 years. Yes things have certainly changed. I was under the impression that a lawyer has always done the opening statement. Usually at a criminal trial your lawyer wants you to shut the fuck up and look presentable.Stroccos wrote:phatmatress777 wrote:I don't see that as a rat move... Very bizarre. Perhaps he was not stable. I know if I was gambling for my life I would want a pro to handle everything, I've always listened to a lawyer in everything I have ever been involved with. It's almost like playing doctor... Sure I can diagnose small things such as a cold or a small cut but if I'm getting surgery... Take over doc I'm out of my realm I know nothing of court lingo, incriminating myself, questioning witnesses, open and closing statements. I'm paying you very well to do a better job than I can do myself.Stroccos wrote:phatmatress777 wrote:Yes things have certainly changed. Re: George Anastasia interview about John Alite
Also in one arms defense, I can understand him being a little unstable at the time. He knows his life is done. He's also going to be in prison for life with one arm and hep c. Speaking as a person living with untreated hep c it does effect your mental state. I have noticed the heavy side effects of worrying nervousness severe anxiety. It takes a toll on your entire being. It's called the silent killer but mine speaks louder and louder as the years go on. Maybe it was seen as a rat move... But I don't think that is any reason to label the man as a rat.
