Detroit Mob Murders Timeline
Scott posted interesting timeline on post-prohibition era mob hits in Detroit: http://gangsterreport.com/mafia-murder- ... 1937-2007/
Re: Detroit Mob Murders Timeline
Its a decent list, but I'll point out that there are some inaccuracies in it. Also a fair amount of conjecture on some of the murders. But overall its decent.

Adam: can you be more specific? I admit pre 1939 is more my area of knowledge. So i'd like to know your thoughts.

Re: Detroit Mob Murders Timeline
I know you asked Scott, but the Irvine possible murder is one I noticed a few years ago with a possible connection to Pete Licavoli and Detroit because of the attached FBI document from 1960(having trouble with the pdf so I'm attaching three of the pages as jpegs here and the other three in a post right after this. Pages 3-6 have the Detroit connections). Not sure that Detroit had anything to do with it, but it caught my attention. But the gist of the report(and its important to remember that just because the FBI thought something at the time does not mean that its true) is that Irvine owed five million to certain gambling interests for a projected either casino or club called Mecca. And specifically that the murder "was ordered by Carl Cohen of the Sands, probably out of Detroit" when Irvine didn't come up with the money and embarrassed Cohen in the eyes of the eastern gangsters who were supposed to be part of it. It also claims that Irvine was killed by a man out of Tucson and that it was logical for Detroit to contact Licavoli to get it done. There's a lot of side information in the pages but one of the claims is that the guy who killed Irvine was named "Ricci" and that he worked for a "Joseph Aguello" or "Arguello" at his company in Tucson and that Aguello who was an associate of Licavoli and Joe Bonanno in Tucson.Antiliar wrote:Scott, do you have more info on Myford Irvine? And I'm sorry but these images are completely out of order. But the numbers at the bottom should be 7-12. 7, 8 and 9 are in the previous post but in reverse order for some reason. Here's 10, 11 and 12 although who knows what order they'll get posted in(probably reverse). But like I said, might be Detroit connected or it might not.
