Re: New England leadership
Is this dude ever forced to prove what we says or does he just post crap all the time?

Re: New England leadership
He truly does have law enforcement and some underworld associates as sources for a lot of his stories. At least in regards to Detroit and Philadelphia . If he's able to get those , I don't see why he'd not be able to get LE and connected sources for the other places he tends to report on. He's already proved his worth in the past , so don't see much reason to question his stuff all the time . I think Scott gets a bad rap on some of these forums, I used to be among those people who gave him a hard time here and there , but after a while , I didnt see much reason to be that way towards him, because I always sought out his info when it came to Detroit, and he usually wasn't far off from the real thing with his articles and his podcasts he used to do.

He says he has all these LE sources but often what he claims doesn't come close to matching what LE actually says. At the very least it is clear that he greatly exaggerates and sensationalized any info he does receive from them.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Re: New England leadership
I've had quite a few conversations with him regarding Detroit and the old guard that had representation in Youngstown. He knows his shit. He opened a few doors for me. I personally have no reason to discredit him.

Re: New England leadership
Its not even what he "says", he made a doc in which plenty of his Detroit LE and underworld sources were either standing right next to him , giving him information and stories or were interviewee's, like the two associates who used to work with Jimmy Q.
Re: New England leadership
I have a lot of respect for Scott and most of what he puts out there is right on but he has been wrong and I think he might be off base in terms of the patriarcas. For one he claims not only is Tony Parrillo made he was the consigliere. This is despite the fact there are no credible sources supporting this and parrillo was identified as an associate prior to his recent incarceration. I find it strange law enforcement would not identify him as the consigliere as they love to identify made guys when they arrest them. I also find it strange that most of the administration is out of providence as less than half the total members of the family are from that faction. Finally peter limone has never been identified as the boss by LE. This despite the fact Robert Deluca flipped and made recordings during the time period. I could be wrong as I don't claim to know everything but I guess as the zen master said we will see.

Re: New England leadership
I've plenty of NE based news articles that have referred to Simone as boss . Not saying you dont have a point and arent right , but theres plenty of guys who were never named by LE as made members, whom were proven later on to be made members through various docs and things. However these were mostly NY members , I suppose a smaller family like NE , it be more easier for LE to acknowledge.

I speak to Scott on a regular basis and he is a good guy , he's told me certain things and they have always been bang on the money , I think he is one of the better researchers . I've no reason to discredit what he says . Hope his book about Anthony zerelli gets released in the near future , his book on leonetti is one of the best mob books I've read
Re: New England leadership
parrillo is currently out of jail was released on bail pending outcome of his appeal.

Re: New England leadership
Apparently not. Personally I think there may be some truth to it , supposedly he was really respected before he was imprisoned during like the 80's for the double murder he had committed, in which he was sentenced to 20 yrs , but only served 11. so here we have proof that he "made his bones", at least . Law Enforcement referred to him as a close associate to Luigi "Baby Shacks" Manocchio , who was identified as the boss during 2011, a period where Parillo was involved in an assault of a couple at a nightclub where it seems like he worked as the head bouncer or director of security, in which he had to serve 5 years in prison for. In regards to Parillo alone , Scott has like two more articles about him both of those articles state that he was already consigliere , acting for Peter Limone , and that supposedly FBI wiretaps overheard a conversation in which Parillo's promotion to boss acting for Spucky Spagnolo, who was set to go to prison. This info was never repeated in any other articles except Scott's. But he has the reputation of a very violent guy, but it remains to be seen if any of this stuff is true , whether he was acting consigliere , wherher he was to be promoted to acting boss , and whether he's been tapped as the permanent consigliere. At the very least , I do believe he's been made , but thats just my personal assumption , which I have no proof to back.
