Illegal Gambling Sting at Main Street Social Club Leads to Numerous Arrests: Naugatuck Police
BREAKING: 10 players and seven employees were arrested police announced.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Seven employees and ten customers were arrested as part of an illegal gambling sting held at the Main Street Social Club in Naugatuck located at 423 North Main Street, the Naugatuck Police Department announced in a news release late Thursday.
In a department statement, Lt. Bryan Cammarata said that Naugatuck Police Department Detectives in conjunction with Connecticut State Police Statewide Organized Crime Investigative Task Force (SOCITF) conducted an illegal gambling investigation.
The investigation was conducted between the months of January 2016 to July 2016. The illegal gambling was being held at the Main Street Social Club located at 423 North Main Street, the statement reads.
On July 27 the Naugatuck Police Department and members of SOCITF executed a search warrant at the Main Street Social Club.
Arrests were made during the execution of the search warrant, police said. The arrests made were in relation to the organizing and running of the illegal gambling, and participants of the illegal gambling, police said.
