Mob members face arrest in $15M cross-country pot distribution operation

A Parisi Bakery scion and an elderly Gambino family captain are among a crew busted in a $15 million cross-country pot distribution operation, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Prescription reefer was shipped from legal California farms to the city, where John Kelly, 52, and Richard Sinde, 51, oversaw distribution, authorities said.

Frank Parisi, 60, is accused of possessing over 20 pounds of weed and working out of a Nolita apartment that shares a building with the iconic Italian bakery. Reputed mobster Michael Paradiso, 76, faces a conspiracy count.

They indicted Paradiso as a captain. Maybe Gurino was running his crew while he was in prison from 2006 up until very recently. Maybe he has a different crew, who knows. Paradiso only got off supervised release about a year ago.

Kids today aren't going to know what it was like wasting your whole night waiting for the dealer to call you back. Then you go over to his house and he forces you to watch videos of professional ski videos and you stay just because he hooks you up and you want him to think you're his friend and not just a customer.

And yes, west coast weed is absolutely the best in my experience. I wish I could still smoke like I used to -- never had an issue with productivity or staying sharp.
