The Rochester wars were dubbed the A and B wars , it was simular to the Colombo situation with Vic orena , the bosses were sent to prison and Sam russotti placed Thomas didio in as acting boss , it all went to his head and he didn't want to relinquish control , when the bosses were released from prison on a technicality that's when the war started

The Pittsburgh-Cleveland War started in 1977 and lasted until 1983. 12 or 13 bodies dropped.

Yead the Valenti's also tried to take back control by backing Didio since they themselves had been deposed by Russotti, Sammy Gingelo and Rene Piccarreto some years earlier. A ew years later there was another war when another rival faction (the C team) tried to take over some of the rackets.

No it was not within the family. Pittsburgh encroached into Cleveland territory and wanted to control all of Youngstown... Which at the time was a cash cow.
