Rochester LCN Associate Arrested on Drug Charges

ORLEANS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former Rochester mobster is in trouble with the law again. This time accused of smuggling drugs for a woman at the Albion Correction Facility on Sunday.

Thomas Torpey, 68, faces several charges for allegedly smuggling Oxycodone, Percocet, and other narcotics to a woman serving time for arson.

That woman, Ashley Sizemore, 31, is serving a 52-month prison sentence for arson at a Spencerport home in February of 2014. Sizemore along with her brother, Johnny Sizemore used gasoline to spark the blaze.

Former Irondequoit Police Officer Chad Rahn was living in the home at the time. His ex-wife Stephanie Rahn is the Sizemore's sister. Chad Rahn testified in court he believed the arson was some sort of retaliation against him and was orchestrated by ex-wife.

Monroe County Assistant DA Brian Green told Time Warner Cable News that Torpey was in court on Sizemore's behalf every step of the way. He said it was his understanding that Torpey and Sizemore were living together and in a relationship.

Torpey, who's on lifetime parole for his 1985 second degree murder conviction, could be headed back to prison. He spent 23 years behind bars for hiring a hitman to kill a teamsters union official. Torpey was best known as the bodyguard for Salvatore “Sammy G” Gingello.

It seems as though Rochester is still having residual activity similar to other cities with defunct families such as Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Another thing I found funny is that I believe there have been just as many if not more arrests of LCN members and associates in Rochester than in Buffalo which was allegedly still active until the mid 2000's.

To use this to beef up a conversation about a family possibly being active is very and I mean very far fetched.

First, percocet is a brand name for oxycodone, not a different drug. Is she facing additional charges?

That 31 year old pussy has got him wiped. She was prolly taking all his pills before she got locked up and now his bitch ass is caught up for it. It amazes. me what the little furry hole can do to some guys.

Now if it comes back that she was selling them for what would be an amazing profit then we can talk about HIM being active and go from there...

Tmarotta is not saying the family is still active. In fact he clearly said the family is defunct and that this is residual LCN activity.

I did not say that the Rochester family was active. What I meant by residual activity is that there are people who are associates still committing crimes. I do not think Pittsburgh or Cleveland is active either. Thank you pogo for actually reading my post.
