I remember this case on some documentary. They even interviewed that guy Joyce. The Feds posed as two Gambino members (looking and sounding right out of some cheap mob B movie) and put Joyce through a "making ceremony" that was filmed. That dumbass fell for it.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

yep pretty grimey and creative from the Feds at the same time.. The article I posted from American Mafia explains everything in pretty good detail surrounding that situation .Pogo The Clown wrote:I remember this case on some documentary. Re: Cleveland 1960's
All this talk of these Ohio cities and looking at the difference between then and now is really saddening. Most of these cities are victims of time and it's doubtful that they will ever bounce back. A lot of areas of Pittsburgh is the same way. McKeesport and Youngstown are basically the same story ... Once thriving cities have now been reduced to area that just needs bulldozed over. Such a shame that the United States can't have industry.

Re: Cleveland 1960's
The Pennsylvania RR prior to the 1950's was the largest publicly traded corporation in the world, with a budget larger than that of the U.S. government. That changed in the 60's. In the 1980's manufacturing jobs were sent oversees which knocked out another industry. Coal is really the last vestige and that'll be gone within 40 years. To be fair, CL and PB have upgraded and survived but the smaller towns around it continue to decline. It is sad.phatmatress777 wrote:All this talk of these Ohio cities and looking at the difference between then and now is really saddening. Re: Cleveland 1960's
at one time no one could touch Pittsburgh in ways of manufacturing... We had us steel in back yard... The city buildings were stained black due to the mills and everyone loved it. People had jobs. Pittsburgh has survived yes but it's a different ball game now. Coal is on its way out the door if the democrats have anything to say about it. Obama waged a war on coal and he has pretty much won. I have my underground mining certifications. I come from a union coal mining family. My dad was a union thug involved in many violent acts for them. Him and his local were actually indicted in federal court in 1990. Now they are starting in on the gas and oil industry. It's a shame we have all these resources that could be used cheaply and would help us not give money to our enemies, and become self reliant for own energy. This subject is very near and dear to me. With the shutting down of coal mines and the gas patch it has hurt so many other industries such as restruants car dealerships hotels etc etc. it's a domino effect and has hurt our area so bad. First the steel mills and then they want to take everything. It's a fucking shame! I hope green energy goes by the way side lolChris Christie wrote:The Pennsylvania RR prior to the 1950's was the largest publicly traded corporation in the world, with a budget larger than that of the U.S. government. I dont believe Dominic was A captain I think lonardo said he was getting A small taste of the skim Probably for services rendered. Tony Panzarella for example was put in charge of numbers but not sure if he would of been considred a captain.Chris Christie wrote:1) How about Dominic Sospirato?Stroccos wrote:1. I think it's certainly possible , Cleveland had a 800k population in the 60's . Frank Embrescia comes to mind , possibly Carmen basile ,Chris Christie wrote:That came from one of the fbi files. If that or anything else is incorrect please let me know. You've helped tremendously already.Stroccos wrote:Christ Christie you have John nardi and nick nardi mansfield am I missing something ? . They were Cleveland guys . Although they probaly operated all over with union business .
I believe Jerome Milano operated in Cali only
Questions to you:
1: do you think Cleveland city had more than frank brancato as a captain?
2: how accurate is Youngstown. There is conflicting information and the fbi has contrasting reports on whether people were with Cleveland or Pittsburgh. The mallamo-Romeo org seemed to have members who later became official w CL or PB.
3: how prominent do you think the angersolas were in their time?
2. Covered in another post
3. Very prominent major players , by the 60's they I believe we're permantly in flordia running gambling operations
2) In this thread? If not I'd be interesting in reading it and I may have some questions.
3) That they were included in the skim after being "retired" could hint at them being more than soldiers.
John Angersola was A major player
