Bobby Manna went away for life after being convicted over a tape where he was told to do a hit on both John and Gene Gotti by the Chin. We all know John Gotti put out a hit in prison on Frankie Locs over the oranges incident described in Gravano'
s book. My question now is why didn't Gene put out a hit in prison on Manna?

Speaking of Papa's murder, there was a couple of other mob murder in Atlanta Penitenciary

-William Rhett Zambito a low level drug trafficker (and informant) from Florida was stabbed to death on March 28, 1978. He had only been transferred to this penitentiary for 24 hours when he was killed.

-Dominique "Domingo" Orsini, huge drug trafficker was also stabbed to death few weeks after Papa on April 10, 1978.

Not sure the murders were linked, but all three were involved in drug trafficking at varying levels

My point being it's a rare occurrence if an LCN member gets murdered in prison.

Seems like most of the examples are of rat associates besides Papa who was a member but perceived to be a rat.

I'm not an expert about Papa so I can't say if he was an informant (the main thing I know about him is he robbed heroin in a police station), but I'm almost sure he wasn't a made man.

But yeah, you're right anyway, It probably happened, but I don't remember a made man being killed in prison. At least in the USA, it happened often in Italy.

Papa was killed on Mark Reiter order. In the United States the mob never had the power on the prison that the mafia have in Italy.
And its not like in the tv that you go to the members of the gang that controlled the prison with a bag full of cash and few days the target is dead.Things don't wark that way.

I could be wrong about Papa, I wasn’t sure who he was so I did a quick search online and first article I saw about his murder said he was made but obviously that could be wrong.
